the beadery is located at 3392 Wonderland road south between Southdale and exeter road.  They have one of those black signs with the neon letters out front at the moment.  It is past the new loblaws, and boston pizza, and athletic club south, if you are heading south.  It is on the same side as well.  You can also call them for directions, because I just read what I wrote, and have a feeling that it will only make sense to me. I went and checked out - "the beadery"  yesterday.  They have a huge selection of unique stuff.  I bought some black stone beads shaped like stars to make a bracelet out of.  They have some really nice jade pieces as well.  I recommend it!

I have been there - and I really liked it.  I bought some wool to make the cutest felt flowers.  Yeah for Ridgetown!!

They also carry them at Scholars' Choice in London.

I like this method - use the liquid liner,  just go nuts - don't worry about it being on straight - just get it the right thickness.  After you let it dry,  use a q-tip dipped in eye make up remover (I like MAC)  and go along the edge to smooth it out into a nice straight  line.  It works for me and I get shakey when small sticks get anywhere near my eyes.

Hey fellow Londonians,  does anyone know of a stitch n bitch group in the city?  I used to belong to a group that got together once a month to draw cartoons,  but it died because of lack of involvment.  That seems to happen a lot to the things I like in the city.  A seasonal SnB would be fun too - just in the winter months.  Kind of like my gym memberships in the past - I don't like to be inside in the summer.  Or it could be an outside SnB in the summer.....hmmm.  Okay,  now I'm rambling.  But I would like to know if something like this is around.......

Needles and Pins is on the southwest corner of Richmond and Oxford.  It is on the bottom floor of the big brown apartment building,  which is located beside blockbuster.  You can park for free in the parking lot under the apartment building,  just say you are going to needles and pins.  They are not open on sundays,  or mondays,  I would call to make sure they are open,  they have different business hours.  It is worth finding!  I wore a scarf today with yarn from there,  and I received compliments from 3 different people.  It carries unique stuff!

There is Bijans,  off of richmond and I think - mill.  Also mercury - It is probably the second biggest (besides michaels) off of Wellington and Baseline.  A bead store in Westmount,  A yarn store on Richmond and Oxford - Needles and pins.  Also,  another yarn store up in Hyde Park.  I hope you are enjoying London,  I moved here six years ago to go to school,  and have'nt left.  Even though it is lacking in art supply stores.  (sigh)

This is my first post - I have finally decided to blurt something out.  I am from London,  and am also dissapointed in the selection of art supplies in the city.   I find going to Western and Fanshawe's supply stores a sometimes cheaper option,  however,  they don't have a very expansive selection.  Needles and Pins is one of my favourite yarn stores!  They are starting to carry some fabric too.    And what is with value villages prices lately?  I paid 8 dollars for a sombraro last weekend.  And yes,  I did desperately need it.
