2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Hi all! first jewelry post! [Triple Strand Necklace] on: May 22, 2009 10:21:18 PM
i made these a while back.  just havent shown them.  i have stuff i've made recently....but not sure if they go in this section or not.  i'll figure it out!

Triple stand necklace.  I LOVE the colors...but i just cant wear it.  i think i have too much fat on my neck or something.

pink beaded lanyard.  I gave this to my boss and she uses it all the time!

brown and cream colored neclace.  i made earrings and a matching bracelet but could only find this pic.
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / fairly new to crochet.. loads of pics on: May 22, 2009 07:13:43 PM
been teaching myself since march.

i have the double crochet beanie down....looking for a new pattern to master...but here are some of my things...(if i figure the picture thing out)

i'll start with the first hat i ever tried to crochet.  i followed the threadbanger instructions and it turned out WAY too big.  had to rip it out and do it again using my best judgment.

and a few double crochet beanies of mine.

kiddie crochet hats  (you can see a kitty hat i made my niece in the pumpkin hat picture.)

however there is another show coming in the middle of the month and i will CERTAINLY be ready for that one with a WHOLE LOTTA CASH!!!

i got a few stands of things i've been dying to play around with...i'll be sure to post a pic when i'm done!

i got graduated clear crystals, chunky orange and blue torquoise, and some pretty mango and papaya colored pearls.

Heck...i may clean the house for some change and head back there tomorrow....for a few more strands.....

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Newbie here....neck warmer on: February 19, 2009 09:06:26 PM
Hi all!  I'm a fairly new knitter...off and on for about 6 months.

I gave some of my wares away for Christmas gifts. I only do scarves. but i've goaled for myself to make my 7&1/2 year old niece a cardigan for next winter (i'm a little nervous about that)  Roll Eyes   I'd also like to learn to knit socks...i tried once and just gave up...all i had was a jumbled mess of yarn and dpns.

But i just completed a neck warmer, and wanted to share.

I dabble in all sorts of crafts.  I still don't have my personal "it" craft, but after the fair i hope to see which of my items are ok with the public, and go from there....
but enough of my blabbing...here is my neck warmer....still trying to come up with a name for it...\

I have to post 10 times before i can post a pic....so her eis the link to my pic.

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / new here...and have a question. on: February 19, 2009 02:53:44 PM
Hi all!  i'm not really new to jewelry making...i've been making things for a bout 1 year now.  i've never really sold the items untill this past christmas.  My mom took about 45 of my sets and sold them at work.

So that kind of sparked my interest in tryng a craft fair.   I dabble in so many crafts that i want to see if my stuff will sell.

there is a really small craft fair at the end of this month and the smallest table is $15.00.  so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I've really enjoyed reading the tips and article here at crafster and know that i need small items to help boost sales.  i'd like to make stud earrings.  half drilled beads glued onto some cheap posts and sell them for about $1.00.

BUT....(here is the  question)  where the heck do i find bulk half drilled beads?

If this is a "traders secret" then please forgive my ignorance.  i've been searching online for about 3 days now and cannot find decent priced half drilled beads.

I figure if all else fails..then i would try some cute shaped buttons and use those instead.

Thanks in advance for all your help!
