1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: need to find pattern for lady of guadalupe! on: April 18, 2016 09:22:09 AM
Kim Guzman had a filet pattern on a shawl. it is not the full body, but the head and torso were on there. it was beautiful. Kim is a crochet designer. she is on face book and also has a page: Kim's Designs (I think).

4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: F**K the menopause... A shrine on: April 18, 2016 08:23:56 AM
Oh, sweetie. I feel ya! My flashes were so bad that my glasses fogged up! seriously!! it would be so embarrassing; especially when I was talking with a male colleague. This shrine says it all. tearing off clothes, heat from hell, feeling old. but I got through it and now at age 66, they are pretty tame and happen infrequently.
5  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Bran Muffins with Raisins on: November 18, 2008 12:19:07 PM

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: FBB's & coin purses on: September 24, 2008 09:26:53 AM
i wanted that crochet book too, but didn't want to spend the money on yet another pattern book.  i went to the library but the book was ck'd out. so i put myself on the reserved list and they mailed it to me when it became available.  i want to make the fat bottom bag sometime also.  loving your creativity to make it in two colors.
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: The one and only Spider-Man sock monkey!!!!! on: September 24, 2008 08:45:33 AM
love, love, love it! your detail is amazing.
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: What's your favorite hook? on: August 21, 2008 11:24:47 AM
if i am designing in yarn, i reach for my G aluminum hook and worsted weight yarn.  if i am designing in thread, i used a #7 steel hook and #10 cotton bedspread weight thread.  otherwise, i use whatever hook is called for in the pattern.
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Keyhole Pinup on: January 14, 2008 11:54:04 AM
very beautiful work. i am especially taken with her hair. can you give a few details on how you did it? i'm just beginning again after about 10 years of now embroidering and am always looking for tips from the experts.
10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Mexican embroidery extravaganza! (mucho pics!) on: May 10, 2007 12:03:49 PM
i may have to forego making mr chile . . . i'm not computer savvy enough to get a picture for you to see my work. hey, maybe my spanish-challenged daughter can help her computer-challenged mother! so, just as soon as i finish crocheting (my other passion/obsession) the dishcloth in red, white and green, with a little chile motif in the corner, i will embroider mr chile.
