1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Earring Display on: March 31, 2013 11:07:44 PM

You don't necessarily need to make several just use a much bigger frame!  Wink
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Perler bead Christmas gifts I made on: March 24, 2013 02:05:13 PM
Doctor Who magnets. The DW glows in the dark.

I took part in a Secret Santa and all I was told as for a suggestion on what to get her was, 'I like running'. So as part of her gift she got a sneaker ornament and a lightning bolt ornament (in honor of Usain Bolt). And the I threw in the little Christmas Hello Kitty because I knew she has always been a fan.

This is a wall/door hanging. I did add some green ribbon to it before sending it to her so she could hang it but didn't take a picture of that.

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby blanket on: March 24, 2013 01:58:54 PM
I found this blanket pattern on Ravelry and just absolutely adore it. It's basically making 2 blankets in one and it works up fairly quickly too! I just knew when I found out a good friend of mine was pregnant that it would be a perfect opportunity to finally use that pattern. Since I mixed up the yarn I used it was a great stash buster.

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet Christmas gifts I made for last year on: March 24, 2013 01:53:38 PM
My brother got this Pokemon scarf to match the Pokemon hat I made him last year. Now he's expecting Pokemon mittens for this year.

Jayne from Firefly hat that I made for a friend.

Hello Kitty headband/ear warmer I made for a friend that likes to go running. This was based loosely off of a hat pattern I found but I tweaked it quite a bit.

My manager at work was just going to throw this frame out so I volunteered to take it. I sanded it down, painted it, added some insect screening and BAM! New place to keep my earrings and pins.

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Tardis Necklace Display on: March 24, 2013 01:45:04 PM
I've needed something for quite some time to hold my necklaces without them getting all tangled. Too cheap to buy a proper jewelry box I bought some cork board and paint and this is what I came up with.

Action shot!

I made these panda magnets for a friend of mine for Christmas.

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Some of my stichings/hoops (image heavy!) on: June 16, 2012 10:21:09 PM
I made my boyfriend Portal hoops for our anniversary. I got a little antsy about sharing what I was doing so this shows them before they were complete.

He also got Transformers hoops.

I started working on this...I wanna say over 3 years ago. I finally finished it and got it hung up only a few months ago.

As soon as I saw this little guy I knew I had to make one.

After showing my Jean Luc on Facebook a friend of mine loved it but said though she loved Picard she leans towards Janeway. I couldn't help but make this for her.

Made this bookmark for a friend in a Secret Santa swap (she loves pandas-the words on it is like a personal motto of hers).

Got bit by the bookmark bug and made this one for one of my fellow bibliophiles.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My first knitted projects on: June 16, 2012 09:59:09 PM
In my quest to learn all things crafty I've been teaching myself how to knit via books and Youtube. These are my first two completed projects:

This is my absolute first completed project. It's a little Tardis square.

2nd project is a lovely scarf from some specialty yarn. It was quite...trying to work with but I think it really helped me in the end.

My roommate, Brad, working on his modelling skills for me.

Not only am I learning a new skill that I've wanted to try for quite some time but it's also helping me bust my fairly large stash! Although there probably are some more basic knitting skills that I should work on first I'm currently about 7 inches into a cabled scarf. Wish me luck!
