1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Fun with poster board! on: October 13, 2010 06:16:54 AM
I decided to have a nightmare before christmas themed halloween party but with the prices of licensed decor i was about to totally change it all when i remembered... I am a crafter! So what does one do with little extra money for decorations and little time left? They improvise! I have NEVER mad a silhouette before so i thought i would give it a go so i bought some black poster and free handed a design, cut it out and hung it on my door with tape Smiley i am pretty proud!
i need to reposition it for the leg but it is 3 parts total, zero, jack and sally, and the hill thing Smiley

also i made it black and white since my door is ugly but the cutouts are the color they are in real life

2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Breakup swap! on: October 08, 2010 08:13:11 AM
A lot of people including my self have mentioned either being dumped this month or dumping someone (it is still hard) so i propose that we do a breakup swap for those who have recently broken up with a significant other and need some cheering up!
examples of what can be made/sent (you can make anything that keeps the theme i just had some ideas): voodoo doll, something cute to wear, candy, tissue, "new bf/gf" doll, or just things that will lift your partners spirits! you do not have to have been broken up with this month if you are still not over them!

This is my first time entering a challenge and it took 6 hours to make so i hope yall like it! This is a picture of my sister since she looked evil and i had to do it because no one else had used paint so  far! i made the paint black by putting the uncooked pasta in a bowl and adding black acrylic paint to it with a bit of water and when it had a nice coat i put  it  on a paper towel to dry.
