31  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Little Red on: August 22, 2011 08:36:42 AM
I can't LIKE this enough, I wish we could give more than one.  This rocks, of course, but still...
Like everyone else, I love the beading. The combo beading/felt is very effective.  Also love the colors and the composition - esp. the way the sun comes over the trees with the "Who's afraid...".  Red Riding Hood has been my special favorite fairy tale since I was a child, and I'm always happy when I see creative people's interpretations of it.
Good job  Smiley

Great work, as always.   Grin
Halloween is "my" holiday, and I'm getting really excited that it's just around the corner.  I keep looking for signs that I can start the slow overtaking of my home with fall/Halloween stuff. This got me thinking of new things I can add!

Also, I want your job!

My manager is getting married at Half Moon Bay next summer, and instead of flowers she's doing sea shells bouquets and sea shell everything.  I am SO going to make her a sea shell scrapbook for her wedding present!
What a lovely idea, and nicely done too Smiley
35  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Teesha Moore #4 - I'm running out of creative titles already! on: April 13, 2011 11:21:46 AM
The misc. shelves at thrift stores are excellent for "whimseys."  I saw a big baggie of random stuff the other day.  I didn't buy it, because I have a two car garage that my car has never seen the inside of, it's too filled with whimseys!

Thank you for the compliments, much appreciated - I really wanted these projects to be "right".  I would totally do another Amelie swap someday. So many inspirarations!  And I had such a good partner  :')

I Sew Cute - The pillows are iron-on transfers white fabric.  It was one of those projects that didn't work the way planned, but turned out probably better than the original plan - hah-hah!

QuindustriousP - Guess what I found in the back seat of my car...

QP, we had fun, didn't we? I'm so excited that it got there, and so quickly, and you liked it!

Hey, one thing... there should be a little square package in there too... a keychain.  I better check down in my sofa too, but I'm pretty sure it's in that box.

Hee-hee! That sachet is actually birdseed - remember, one of the arrows was bird seed and the pigeons were eating it?  I think maybe I have seen this movie too many times...

*sigh* now I can relax, and clean up the mess I made... there are little bits of felt debris all over for some reason.

Me too!  I mean, I keep watching the tracking... what do they mean "in transit to destination"?! Sounds like it's on the truck to your house.  It's like waiting for people to open their Christmas presents  Cheesy
