1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / On an ATC roll!! on: November 12, 2009 03:03:18 PM
So, after my first set, I got exctied and I've done a few more which I'm going to send to people. I tried the Mod Podge sparkle stuff which I really like.

Cooking Mama - My friend loves Cooking Mama so I drew the main character and themed it with ingredients and a recipe on the back (I forgot to add it was for Brownies!!)

Dragonfly - for my favourite auntie who loves images of butterflies and dragonflies

Prayer - For my mum who's religious - with a short prayer on the back...I'm an atheist but will put me in the good books Smiley

The Owl and the Pussycat - the cat hasn't come out that clearly but overall, I like the idea. I think I'm going to do some more nursery-rhyme themed ATC's...I'm not that great at original design as you can see!
My boyfriend gave me another idea for this one so going to try and work some 3D in to it - taking the lead from Nooo's gorgeous moveable ATC's, I'm going to make the pea-green boat moveable, in between some 3D card waves and may be a sail too. I tried Glitter gel with this one but I need to get a better handle on it!

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / My first ATC's too!! on: November 10, 2009 03:46:42 PM
So I started my first ATC tonight and couldn't stop so ended up doing a set of 4 using a vintage theme. I got the images from http://gomakesomething.com/ which is one of the links provided by you guys in the ATC thread on 'where do you get your images'. There are loads of brilliant, free to download vintage images ready made for collage, ATC's etc.

Anyhoo, I went for a whimsical theme, one of them ran when I mod-podged it, a couple of them bubbled too (I used the gloss but it doesn't really show in the photo's, I was going a little crazy with the podge, like a 5 year old, so no wonder!!!

It's weird, I'm not usually sentimental but felt like I should name them, I hope that doesn't last as coming up with creative names will kill me!
Hope you like them.

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Matryoshka doll on: November 09, 2009 02:38:14 AM
So, there seems to be a craze for Matryoska dolls, they're everywhere right now so thought I'd jump on the bandwagon too. I thought they looked straight forward enough that even I can do them! This is my first attempt, based on a felt version I think I saw on Etsy a while back (I'll hunt the reference and update). I figure I might do an ATC set too giving them different dress patterns / ribbons / buttons etc. A good project for anyone, like me, who's not that artistic!!!

You can't quite see in the picture but she has little green jewelled eyes to give her a sparkle.
I love the backdrop of the wall too, turning her in to an urban Matryoshka. I need to get more of that card, may be add some grafitti to make it even more 'Street'  Cheesy
