1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Simplicity 4760 (IMG HEAVY) on: August 30, 2005 12:05:43 AM
Man, I worked on this shirt forever, or should I say I forgot about it for weeks and then got back to it... My husband wanted me to make him a 'cool shirt with lots of pockets!' and this was my try, which is really kind of like another one he has, except it didn't cost 50 bucks... Instead of it being a button down, I put a zipper on it because buttonholes drive me crazy! Im pretty pleased with the way it turned out and I'm so happy I finally finished it, I just want to tell the world I can sew something decent!

These pictures show the 'hidden' pockets. He likes to carry around A LOT of stuff, so this way not everything is in his cargos making him sag, jaja... You could even hide a gun in there...

I tried to get him to model it for me, but he says "Not until it's done," he wants me to add more pockets... I'm thinking about it, but being really lazy... jaja Wink
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Estar Guars on: May 15, 2005 11:25:26 AM
So my husband and i were in mexico for like the past six months, (Culiacan, Sinaloa) and they just built a new mall like 2 years ago, so it's all the rage, like, the kids get super dressed up to go and it's crazy, the stores are all SUPER expensive and carries like mainstream fashion stuff, basically, whatever mtv pumps out and whatever they think americans wear, so yeah, there was a tiny little stand where they sold neat parody shirts and i saw one i liked, but there was no way i was gonna pay 200 pesos for it (almost 20 bucks) so i though i'll just make it... i think you gotta be mexican to get it though... jajaja! i showed my mom and she read it and was like "oh, how nice"... she didn't get it! jajaja! It's glittery silver fabric paint, but you cant tell by the picture, i think, if i were to do it again, i would do it on black instead of my green hoodie because in some angles you cant even tell it's there...

3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / so i finally stenciled something on: March 04, 2005 04:49:31 PM
the only thing though is that i did it with white out and a sharpie, so im pretty sure it'll come out once i wash it... so i've decided not to wash it until the neighbors complain about how much i stink when i pass by, jajaja! its a picture of me and my husband... well, two seperate pictures really, doctored up in picture it and printed on paper, and held steady with my hand... kind of a half-butt attempt, but i was looking at all these neat stencils on here and i just wanted to do SOMETHING, i couldnt stop my myself...
