1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Pattern sizing? on: April 22, 2009 10:24:20 AM
It's been years since I've bought a clothing pattern.  My daughter wants a vest in a fabric she can't find in the stores.  I'll probably just get one of the quickie patterns.  I know it will be easy enough to sew.     But, how is sizing when I purchase it?  If I need a 36 in bust, do I pick that size.  I guess I'm wondering how true to size most patterns are.  Hopefully I'll find one with multiple sizes in one envelope.  Any help? Jo anne's is 20 mile away, so I won't be going for a week or so.
2  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Chop Block recipe? on: March 22, 2009 11:30:39 AM
Recently my grocer's bakery has been selling chop block bread.  It looks like they make the dough, chop it in pieces and set them next to each other and bake.  I buy the one with black and green olives in it.  Does anyone have a recipe(preferably bread machine)?  I might just try to use a regular recipe and brush it with olive oil.  It is my favorite bread now.
