1  Tres Chic! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by thankyouterror on: September 08, 2009 07:18:17 PM
Well here is the post I promised! I had just finished this: comic book end table https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=320019.0 when I decided to start on my old dresser.

Mind you this dresser is old. My dad had it when he was a child, even. (Wow - that IS old!)

When I was a young girl it was hot pink. Then I painted it black and white while I was a teenager. Then just black. Now it is black and white again but it looks good, haha.

I spray painted it, printed off the design and decoupaged it on, sealed with polyurethane, blah blah, who cares, here are the pictures!

Thank you for looking!  Cheesy

2  Comic book stand - first post! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by thankyouterror on: September 05, 2009 11:44:32 AM
Hey everybody this is my first post. Smiley

I got this ugly end table at a thrift store for $5.75. It was really beat up and had an ancient air freshener stuck to the underside.
I loved the mod shape of it, however!

I sanded it. Then I glued on Archie, Superwoman, and Unknown Soldier comics. I painted the edges and underside with white acrylic paint. I sealed the comics with polyurethane.

Sorry the pics are a bit blurry!

I have a dresser I am re-doing and will post it ASAP!
