22  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: panta! (from a finnish pattern). on: February 05, 2006 01:37:28 PM
i think i'm just being dumb...maybe someone could explain it to me better?

at the inc1 part i don't end up with the right amt of sts.  i'm just wondering how i should be increasing? what i was doing was knitting into the front and back of the same stitch.

23  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / lining knit hat on: January 20, 2006 07:53:15 PM
i would like to knit a cable had, but i'd like to add a fleece lining.
this is the pattern that i would like to use.  Also thanks to kittyscorner for bringing the pattern to my attention!

My question is: i have no idea how to do this.  has anyone added a lining to hats that they've made before? have you had to make big adjustments?  Any tips that you could throw my way would be really appreciated.

27  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Mary Jane Slippers on: January 06, 2006 04:31:41 PM
i made these maryjane slippers for my sister.

They turned out great, and were really really simple.
28  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Scottish Terrier top on: December 12, 2005 04:20:48 PM
a few years ago i made a buzz lightyear costume for my son.  i used the no sew iron on stuff to stick the little tiny appliques on.  he got it really dirty (fell on a can of pop on halloween nite - white costume, turned yucky brown) to make a long story short, i washed it and all the appliques fell off.  so for this i would vote to sew it on...may take a little longer, but it will also stay put if you need throw it in the wash.

edited to say:  this shirt also rocks! i love love love the terrier!

thanks for the reply, i'm really not usually this dense...honestly... i'm just not sure what to do with the part of the 2nd stitch that's still on my left hand needle.. leave it on there until after i knit the first stitch, or do i slip it over my first stitch imediatly after knitting it before doing stitch #1...
