1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Hand-painted custom Tees on: July 30, 2007 02:15:37 AM
These are a couple shirts I made - bought the shirts from Michael's and painted free-hand with fabric paint. My boyfriend gets so many compliments on his when he wears it, I'm even starting to reproduce them and sell them :-) Tell me what you think.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Handsewn Fairy-princess Tutu on: September 19, 2006 05:55:47 PM
I know it's a little early for Halloween
It's just that I love dressing up
I've been itchin for a tutu for the longest time now but they're too expensive
I just moved out to Boulder for college and I discovered Jo-ann's fabrics (San Diego doesn't have any Jo-ann's)...tulle for $1.29 a yard? I think so. I knew I would need a lot of fabric but I actually only used about 2 or 3 yards (I bought 7). I don't have my sewing machine out here but I forgot how relaxing it is to sew by hand sometimes. Here's what I came up with.
What do you think?

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Little Orphan Annie dress - red and hot and sex all over on: August 10, 2006 12:55:17 AM
OT, but WHAT bra are you wearing?  That's some amazing cleavage!  I MUST know the bra that created it  Cheesy
I'd tell you, but I'm actually wearing a spaghetti strap that's cut down low in the back...I guess I just lucked out with close-set tits.
6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Lolita self-portrait on: August 08, 2006 11:54:07 PM
The inspiration for this painting was a pair of sunglasses. I bought these great heart-framed, mirrored sunglasses off the internet the other day...you know, the kind you used to wear when you were two. It strikes me as kind of pop-arty...what do you think?

oh, sorry if it's upside-down!
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Betty & Veronica decoupaged wooden frame/mirror on: August 08, 2006 11:50:22 PM
I love Betty & Veronica as a kid. Still do. The other day, I whipped out all my old comics and decoupaged this frame. First I painted the frame black, then mod-podged the cut-outs on and lastly GLITTER PAINT. I don't think I'm going to put a picture in it because the frame will completely take away from the picture inside so I'm going to glue a mirror inside instead :-)

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Little Orphan Annie dress - red and hot and sex all over on: August 08, 2006 11:43:10 PM
I woke up this morning feeling kind of sick so I stayed in my room all day with my sewing machine and all the great fabric I got at yardage town yesterday. I had no idea what I was making when I first started this project. The material is thin, red sweatshirt material so it's stretchy and really comfy to wear. Comfy and sexy?! Who woulda thunk?  Cheesy

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Juicy & Delicious plastic grape cluster earrings on: August 08, 2006 11:34:09 PM
The title pretty much explains it all
They were super easy to make...literally, less than 2 minutes.
Cheap too...$1.50 for each of the clusters (I got them in the plastic fruit section at Michaels)...it's better than spending $18.00 on cherry earrings from fredflare.com!
They are a lot of fun to wear and I get a lot of compliments on them
The only bad thing about them is that they are a tad on the heavier side
Sigh. The hardships we fight through in the name of fashion.

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Leopard-print Betsey Johnsonesque lingerie/bikini on: April 09, 2006 10:05:59 PM

I know one of my breasts is hanging out the bottom....give me a break it was my first attempt
The material is spandex and it really didn't take that long to make (we're talking about 1/2 hour...I wore it to my friend's party that night and it held up pretty well in the jacuzzi as well...although the jets weren't on...at least it can get wet and still maintain its shape though). anyway, i just took a bikini that i already had (a basic string bikini top and tie-bottoms) and cut out slightly larger shapes. strung some hot pink ribbon through the bottom of the top (etcetera) and voila, an amazing amazon betsey johnsonesque lingerie bikini ! i think it turned out pretty well...what do you think?
