1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Zombie Med Kit on: March 21, 2016 04:13:20 PM
So I looked all over Pinterest trying to get an idea of how I should go about making a Zombie themed survival type of medical care package to send to my boyfriend. All of the ideas I found were boxes filled with candy and sodas instead of actual meds which is what I wanted to do. So instead, I looked up different meds from video games (and one movie I think) and just made labels issuing the names of said meds.

Safsprin (aspirin from Resident Evil)

Adravil (also Resident Evil)

Some stuff I put in the box were: Gatorade chews, rubbing alcohol, band aids, cough meds, icy hot

Finished box

Ready for shipping! He also loved this and thought the "blood" was very real. I got some on the box and he thought I cut myself lol

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Fallout Consumables on: March 20, 2016 02:20:49 PM
Hey guys! So I made this a while back for my boyfriend when I was looking for a post apocalyptic theme to do for his care package. I'm not big on video games so I didn't know about this game but I asked a friend of mine who sent me the list of Fallout foods and my care package was born !

I printed the labels off from online, then I ran my nail file (I didn't have sand paper) across them and rubbed some cinnamon powder to give it that rusty looking color

I'm so happy that it was a hit ! Just wanted to share

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Candyland-Nightmare Before Christmas edition on: October 13, 2015 06:08:13 PM
So my boy left recently for deployment and I wanted to make him little board games for him to play with his buddies so he won't be so bored but after making 2 HP games (both from here) that I figured I switch it up a bit. Since Jack Skellington goes hand in hand with Halloween, I thought I'd make a Nightmare Before Christmas version of Candyland after seeing https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=433337.0
I actually never seen the movie, so I had a really hard time coming up with what to put on the board, so I Googled everything.

This is the board I came up with

It's on a regular sized printer paper but it's a little heavy. I didn't have any black paper on hand so I just painted it black. The little location spaces, I drew and colored in with color pencils, then cut each one out and glued them onto the board. The little spaces is also drawn out on a separate paper and glued on.

closer view:

The locations I put are, Oogie's Lair, Tree house, Spiral Hill with the grave at the bottom, Dr. Finkelstein's lab, the Town Hall, Fountain, and Jack's House which is the objective.

the pieces:

I couldn't find my poly clay, so I decided to try to make the pieces out of salt dough.

Anyways, first time making a board game of any kind. It is NOT easy! Thanks for looking guys.

7  COOKING / Dessert / Cake Pops on: May 23, 2012 04:48:55 PM
This is the first time I tried to make character cake pops.

It was really hard to do the faces since everything is made out of candy melt and edible marker.

Anybody have any other ideas/suggestions for me to make these  come out better without having to use fondant??

Thanks guys
