Super job! thank's for that because it means I can use it on my sons cake! when his birthday comes! Do you think it would possible for me to make a turtle or elmo? I wonder if I have to use a lot of red! How did your hands turn out? Thanks!!

thanks! well i have seen many cakes that have 3D fondant characters that are INSANELY beautiful! But I haven't gotten pro yet so I'm not there. If you grease your hands first (I used Crisco shortening) then play with the fondant along with some food coloring, it shouldn't stain your hands (but it will look like it does). hope that helps.. Good luck and post pics when you get it done!!

5  COOKING / Dessert / Rainbow Fondant! on: March 05, 2009 09:39:42 AM
Hi everyone! My friend and I decided we realllly wanted to try out fondant and our first attempt was super successful! Marshmellow fondant isn't that hard to work with! Those people who complain.. well just.. i dont know hehe! Anyways, we had no idea what we were making.. so we just free handed everything!

We ended up dying the cake, the frosting, and various parts of the fondant for colorful decorations!
Hope you like it!

Oh and the cake was French Vanilla with Vanilla Almond Icing.. YUM!
