1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: A few dresses. on: April 23, 2010 07:53:44 AM
very, very cute, and the dresses too.  I laughed when I finished reading about the small baby.   I had to go to my oldest and borrow some of her big doll sleepers to fit mine. Although she was over 7 pounds, she was very tiny.  So for the first 1 1/2 years her wardrobe stayed the same.  Great job. Wink
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: instead of replacing a zipper on: November 14, 2009 08:00:36 AM
That's a great idea.  The ideas that moms come up with are great and very useful. Grin.   Just a piece of advice for those zippers that separate. I got this info from a lady who runs a sewing store.  If you gently squeeze the main part of the zipper with a pair of pliers on both sides.  Key word is gently.  That should help those seperating zippers, it's because all the pulling  of the zippers up and down that causes them to open up a bit more so the teeth don't get squished together right or totally.

Nice recovering.   Just wondering if you sprayed with Scotchguard to help repel stains?  I did that to a few of my daughters light colored shirts and that was a good idea especially after Daddy gives chocolate ice cream Grin
