1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Team [MY BOYFRIEND] on: March 03, 2010 05:44:43 PM
awesome! though, I thought I was creative.. because I made one for the premiere of New Moon...
I'm not big on Twilight, the whole series, though, unless I'm making fun of it, which is why Sam and I go see the movies Tongue
I stenciled a shirt that said, "Team Samwell" on the front, and, "Because boys that really exist are better" On the back. Smiley
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: THE GENERIC BOYFRIEND GIFT THREAD: A How-To! on: November 09, 2009 01:36:00 PM
so, I figured I'd post again, for anyone who was curious...

I ended up just making the sackboy plushie, and a shirt based of A Knight's Tale. Mostly for the 10 and 11.
The year isthis weekend, and so far I just have a bunch of little things. I... "Kidnapped" a shirt, from my school. It's a shirt we both have, because it was from marching band my first year, and his second, which would be the year we met. Tongue
That's getting turned into a pillow, with a little stenciled bass clef in the corner, since he plays trombone.

For 13th month, (So corny. But he gives me good ideas for things to make, that I can technically use for art projects... ;P) and Christmas, he might be getting more shirts. One, possibly being a L4D reference, since that is still a pretty big joke between us, then maybe something along the lines of some of the recommendations on here, stenciled pajama pants or boxers, with his gamer tag on them, but I'm not sure yet.

It's funny, after being stumped for forever, finally seeing him, and then rereading pages of this thread, it's a hundred times easier to think of things to make Smiley

Oooooooo, where was the photo shoot?
It looks like Maymont, but I haven't been there in a while....

aw:) those ideas are adorable! haha. Thank you, so much Smiley

And just incase anyone was interested, I'm going out to see him tomorrow, with (I guess they could count as 10 months presents...) but, I made him a little version of Sackboy, from Little Big Planet, (I've never played, I don't even know if he plays, but he told me once before he thought SB was cute Tongue) And another shirt I stenciled, but I have the matching one this time Tongue

It makes me kind of nervous that there haven't been any recent posts on this subejct, but I'm hopeful, so here goes...

My guy, Sam, and I, have been dating almost 10 months, and he has been completly, totally, and utterly spoiled, the whole time. And he knows that, and exploits it. (He knows when I get good ideas for things to make, and I'm starting to think he makes me watch things, or shows me things just in hopes that I'll make him whatever it is Tongue)

So, over the past 10 months, he's gotten:
-3 t-shirts, 2 Flight of the Conchords, and 1 with a tribal design in his/our favorite colors,
-3 stuffed dinosaurs, I made one, and he's the one who convinced me to make more, so I naturally made him a few,
- A stuffed raccoon, his favorite animal,
-2 bracelets, both of which I have the matching ones to,
- A small, stuffed, DR. TRAN!
- 2 or 3 drawings of Jack &Sally (A big thing between us, because he's super tall and skinny, and I'm substantially shorter, paler, and frequently have dyed red hair)
-1 of the 'card books', that are so popular one here, the 52 reasons why I love you things,
-A picture frame, that I decorated, with 4 four leaf clovers, and one 5 leaf clover in a little glass panel on the side, with a picture of us from prom (  Cheesy)

And tons of other things, that I've had to buy him, and many more little things I've been able to make him as well.
so, why post on here? Well, after our 10 and 11 months, I'm going to have to figure out something SUPER for our 1 year. (November 15th) Yeah, I have a little while, but I'm a senior this year, and am in the middle of trying to find a job, and also have marching band/ colorguard to keep me occupied, along with trying to keep in touch with Sam.

Who, is also at college this year, as a freshman, 3 hours away. For our 10 month, I'm almost positive that he's not going to be able to get back to celebrate, and that I won't be able to get out to see him either. Right now, I'm working on a small little care package thing to send out to him, and then I'm saving a few of the other ideas for our 11 month. In the pack, I'm planning on sending atleast, A small, stuffed version, of Albie the Racist Dragon, from Flight of the Conchords, ( Grin Grin Grin) A small stuffed version of Sackboy, from Little Big Planet, and probably some cookies, cut out in the shape of rhinocerouses... rhinoceri? and puzzle pieces, which is also a cute little thing with us.. the puzzle pieces, the rhinos are also from FotC, obviously Tongue

I guess I just need s few other cute little gifts, to make atleast. The only other idea I have is a DVD set of Man vs. Wild, because Sam's in love with Bear Grylls.... boys... -___-

Sam's in band also, mainly playing trombone, he plays guitar, a little, has learned euphonium, and is working on piano for college (Radford) He's a pretty big gamer, and is especially into Zombie games, (Bioshock, Prototype, L4D...)
I attempted to learn guitar several years ago, and failed miserably, so I've been comtemplating stenciling some goofy things on my old one, and giving him that, but that might come for Christmas...
I want to do cutesy, dumb little things, but I want him to be able to display somethings in his dorm without being totally embarrassed.

We have running jokes about Jack and Sally, and also about Jack and Rose from Titanic, (That Rose is a lumberjack, and Jack has Muscular Dystrophy, trying not to be offensive, I don't want to be, but that's our joke, in the most positive way possible.) We also joke a lot about Twilight, and that series, because we've both read them (He read them for me Tongue YEAH. my boy read twilight, the whole series, for ME. haha. I love that. he did it to suprise me too Smiley ) and Yeah, I've read them, but I'm not that big of a fan. I don't like Edward, and I really don't like Jacob, and Bella make me want to vomit. Hahaha. So, we make fun of each other by calling the other Edward/Jacob/Bella when we're 'mad'. I could probably go on about more little jokes, but I don't want to bore anyone. I've been thinking about making a hoodie, with his gamer name on the front, or pajama pants, but I don't know how useful those would be, since he just sleeps in boxers...

Any ideas would be super appreciated though Cheesy
