Thank you all!

It is great that we both sew, infact she's the one who taught me everything I know about sewing Smiley

My mom bought a skirt at a thrift store, that looked something like this:

so we split it, she got the top part to make a pencil skirt, and I got the bottom and made this cute mini skirt:

I was to lazy to add a zipper, so I have to wear it from the top (like putting on a t-shirt) which is actually quite comfortable, but might not work for girls with larger breasts  Wink  Tongue

That is seriously one of the best bracelets I've ever seen  Smiley
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: bunch of things..(pictures) on: September 23, 2006 01:52:53 PM
I would take the bottle caps and clear marbels(with the stickers you love) and attach them to magnets.

from the sunglasses, small turtle and small bat i'd make brooches

the toothbrushes you can heat (with warm water) and bend into bracelets (so i've heard)

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Dress design help on: September 23, 2006 12:38:24 PM
I really like the 60's-looking dress from the lacoste touch of pink commercial
http://www.edp.kiev.ua/Image/lacoste/big/lacoste_tof.JPG
but it doesn't have sleeves...

the plaid one here:
http://store.delias.com/item.do?categoryID=424&itemID=46093&sizeFilter=&colorFilter=&brandFilter=
seemes to work with a long sleeved shirt underneath, and I think it would look cute if the middle would be made out of your fabric and the pockets, top and bottom would be red

this one:
http://store.delias.com/item.do?categoryID=424&itemID=46094&sizeFilter=&colorFilter=&brandFilter=
isn't really a shift dress, but seems cute.

I also tried to find a picture of the dress Gwen Stefani wore in the "don't speak" video, but didn't.. but you probably vaguely remember how it looks. It wasn't a shift dress but might look good with your fabric.

edit:
Don't worry about not having an idea, everyone has a dry spell now and then plus different people get ideas in different ways, I can never think of a design for a fabric, I first have the design in my head and then look for the appropriate fabric.

That is really cute. You should add something that'll make the noise that it makes in the game when you step on it  Smiley

Quote the funniest joke in the world in German, though probably no one would get it....
and there's always the dead parrot one  Wink

Love your shirt, very Jackson Pollock(sp?)
