21  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: OTMS: One Tiny Monster Swap! (SIGNUPS 3/4/13-3/18/13 ; MAIL BY 4/3/13) on: March 08, 2013 10:04:06 PM
Oh my gosh I would love to do this swap, but I can't do any plushie making, sculpting, or any thing else that would be 3-d very good.  Cry

What about something crawling out of a hoopla?

This could work, but remember, monsters are required to be 3-D.

If you wanted to try out this idea, just make sure that the main part of the project would be approximately 90% monster, 10% hoop...give or take.  Wink The monster box is a good idea too!

Basically, you want to spend the same amount of time (and putting in the same amount of love) constructing your 3-d project that your partner is. So if you wanted to use some sort of papercraft, your papercraft should be similar in difficulty/time spent/uniqueness, and not just a piece of origami paper with a scary face on it...  Grin

Good thinking everyone!

What about this?

Oh, I almost missed this one! I've been forcing my bf to watch TNG from the beginning with me so the timing is perfect!

On a side note, has anyone read Redshirts by John Scalzi? It's pretty awesome

That cover for 1984 is really cool, I have the boring white one. And the bookmark and cross stitch are amazing!

I will be shipping tomorrow. The package is all ready to go, but we had a ton of snow yesterday (I didn't even go to work-my boss called and said we were closing early so there was no point in my driving down there). So I'm going to give them an extra day to plow the roads and mail tomorrow

That's terrible! I hope you weren't too far into your shopping Sad You should make a big "no touching!" Sign this time

So I packed all my snacks into my planned box today. Turns out whatever I craft (haven't decided yet) will have to smallish and fairly flat unless I want to get a bigger box Smiley

That book does sound interesting. I've never actually read Stephen King, I scare too easily :/
