How do you solder on glass without the glass breaking from too much heat?

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Design Idea Using Drawer Pulls - do you think this would work? on: July 21, 2009 09:35:55 PM
I saw a book about creating vintage jewelry with a bracelet made from an ornate and light-weight drawer pull, so it can be done.  Look at antique shops - they'll be your best place to find some that aren't heavy.  Just make sure there are holes on each end so you can connect the jewelry wire & beads to each end.  You might want to use elastic cord though instead of wire because a clasp will take away from the rest of the design/bracelet.  Have fun!

Sincerely,
