21  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Magneto on: July 14, 2010 10:13:19 AM
I think I'm getting better at painting through doing all these comic book characters. I'm getting better contrast and noticing more details. It makes me feel like I'm blossoming. Anywho.. onto the image and thanks for viewing.
After going to the art museum yesterday, I feel like I want to work larger.

Acrylic: 18" by 24"

22  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Batman for boyfriend on: July 05, 2010 02:35:15 PM
My boyfriend had a series of superheroes he wanted me to paint... ironman, superman, optimus prime, and batman. He pushed with how he wanted the paintings to look. I think I love this one the most. My painting skills are growing because of him. Acrylic. 18 by 24".

24  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Cute Fruit and Vegetables for Weightloss on: June 30, 2010 05:02:50 PM
I made this collage of cute fruits and cute vegetables: From the internet and my head.... to help me lose weight from the visual seeds of " you must have fruits and vegetables implanted in your brain everytime you walk in the kitchen!!!!" MUUHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... I put up the fruits painting in the kitchen... I ended up buying 10 pounds of fruit today for myself... maybe it's working too well. But I don't have to go fruit shopping for a while.
Both acrylic: 16" by 20"....

25  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / silly comic... cheesy puns... on: May 29, 2010 10:10:16 PM

26  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / My Floral Arrangement Inspired Dining Room. First time Interior Designing on: May 29, 2010 07:02:10 PM

I am currently designing my apartment which is so exciting for me. I was inspired actually by my ideas for the dream wedding I want to have. I love the branch wedding centerpieces so I bought floral cherry blossom branches from the craft store. Also, I used two vases to add drama to the room. Both vases have glass marbles in them to add texture to the table, which I got from the thrift stores. There is a Chinese porcelain plate as the base for the centerpiece. In the middle to add some weight to the arrangement is a bush of leaves also purchased from the craft store. I used old paintings and painted a series over them of koi fish to make the wall a focal point. The drapes are from Ross and Ikea. The rug and lucite chairs are from Ikea. This is my first room pretty much finished. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Do you think the side walls would benefit from something?
27  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Geisha with a Cupcake on: May 29, 2010 06:50:16 PM
I love drawing Geishas and I wanted to have one in the apartment I'm designing.  I painted this on 18" by 24" canvas with acrylic paint. I am not sure if I still want to add rolled paper beads to the around the geisha since this painting for the kitchen where it could get too humid for the paper.

28  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Collage of favorites: Hagu, Gir, Totoro, Tokidoki, Basquiat, Azumanga Daioh, on: May 02, 2010 07:37:18 AM
I wanted to use some of  favorite characters or images together to make a painting for my bedroom... I'm not sure if it's completely finished but I like it the way it is. 24" by 36" acrylic on canvas.

29  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Neon Skull... Seurat Style on: March 22, 2010 02:22:22 PM
So Excited about my progress on this neon skull using pointillism.. I don't know why I love such tedious projects.. I still have to finish the background but I love this.... Suprisingly I'm not fond of skulls...

This was done with Crayons on 12" by 18" paper.

30  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Carebear From Q-tips! Updated with Finished picture. on: March 14, 2010 07:08:26 AM
This is an 18 by 24 acrylic painting done with stamping a painted q-tip every quarter inch. Inspired by Roy Lichtenstein but I think it's leaning toward Georges Seurat's pointillism. Neon crayons were added for depth. I'll uploaded the completely finished picture on monday.

Finished carebear.
