1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / One of my craft show dresses and hairbows, what ya think? on: May 06, 2010 11:42:52 AM
I am entering a craft show next Saturday and I took a pic of one of the dresses to email a friend so I decided to go ahead and post it on craftster.  I absolutely loved this material and had to buy it!  I made a dress from a simplicity daisy kingdom pattern, I am pretty pleased with the results.  Then I was going to make a hair bow out of some ribbon but I couldn't picture in my head what I wanted to do....then it hit me a fabric flower!!! Tell me what you think, and what a fair price on a dress like this would be, also I am making a matching purse to go with this.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / my first smocket!!! on: January 23, 2009 10:06:39 AM
this is the first smocket i've ever made and I usually try to wait and show my creations until after I've done a certain pattern a few times...but today we'll give it a shot!

Like I said I have never made anything from this pattern before so I went to make an apron for my 2 yr old misread directions and now it's a summer dress for my fixin' to be 5mth old!

I was going to put pockets on the apron then at the last minute decided to applique the strawberry on.  So I had to draw it out because I didn't have a pattern and yadayadayada and so forth so that took longer than the actual making of the smocket, I may still add some trim to the edges, undecisive what'ya think?

Comments appreciated!

thanks for looking!

9  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Vintage fabric is the best!!! on: January 23, 2009 09:53:59 AM
These two dresses were actually the girls fall dresses and I haven't had a chance to display them. I wish that I could show the pics of them in the dresses but I don't know how to transfer photo shopped pics and I'm having to use a friends computer at the moment.

Anyway, these two dresses are made from vintage fabric that came from my husband's great-aunt!  I absolutely love fall anyway so I had a fun time with these dresses!

Feedback appreciated!!
