5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Paper Clay Bonehead Spindle Figurine on: September 20, 2010 07:20:35 AM
I am currently working on a spindle series of paper clay creations.  I recently came upon a bunch of old stair spindles at a garage sale and I am in awe when they come to life.  Meet Bonehead.  He is 11.5" tall by 2.5" wide.  His body is handpainted and his head is hand sculpted from homemade paper mache clay.  He took 3 days to come to life about 18 hours in all and I just love the silly grin. : )  Enjoy

7  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / TVP Chik'n nuggets on: February 07, 2010 01:30:33 PM

I had a craving for Chik'n nuggets and so I whipped up a batch of these yummies!!

With the help of my foodprocessor and mixer here they are.

I used 2 cups of water
1tbsp of Not Chicken vegetarian stock bouillon
2 cups of dry TVP crumbles
some tarragon and Mrs. Dash grill seasoning to taste.

Then after reconstituing I placed in the food processor and pulsed to the till well blended.  Still somewhat chunky but smaller pieces.

I added this to a mixing bowl and added 1/8 cup of whole wheat flour and an egg substitute the equivalent of one egg.

Then I mixed these together used a spoon and shaped the mix into nugget shapes.  I dipped them into a seasoned flour and put them in some canola oil in the fryer for about 2 mins.

Serve with your favorite dipping sauce

MMMMM

I was making coffee this morning and thought hey I could make a rose out of a coffee filter right?  Sure can.  So while my coffee brewed I put this one together.
