1  Non-Flammable varnish? in Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions by you file on: December 05, 2004 11:18:14 AM
I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this but here goes:

I covered some glass votice candle holders with polymer clay and baked them accordingly.. I dont have adremel tool yet (christmas!) so I wanted to know if there is anything I can coat this with that will not be flammable (its a gift, i dont want to burn her house down!) I'm just looking for something to give it a nice gloss coat.
I was thinking a spray clear coat, but I think that stuff can be flammable.......

They're pretty ugly, but theres something about them that I like! Smiley (I like ugly... hahah...)

2  Re: Glass Marble Magnets in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by you file on: December 02, 2004 09:41:08 PM
I found pretty large flat marbles at ACmoore in the isle with all of their glass vases and other glass containters.  They have the regular sized small ones, and they also have large ones some measuring almost an inch across.  3/4 of a pound for about $2. The bag I bought had 15 pieces in it.  I can't wait to start making some magnets!

I just found a great deal on 3/4 Magnets at Michaels (it was stuffed away on the very bottom of the shelf) a 1.6 lb. bag of magnets for $14.99 (I always use the 40% off coupon) so it was $9.99 for 154 magnets!!!! yay Smiley

I made this one with the larger marble and cute wire (backed it with mat board)
