1  supra door mat in CHALLENGE 35 ENTRIES by Beccahacom on: February 01, 2009 12:41:28 PM
I decided that I wanted to help keep my boyfriends house neater, it was kind of a resolution for the two of us. So he asked for a door mat to keep dirt out.  Well, he didn't just want any doormat he wanted it with the hood emblem of his favorite car sitting in his garage.
A Toyota Celica Supra 1985

and here is the emblem

and then here is the doormat. Sadly i never thought about taking a pic of it in progress...  I designed the pattern myself i drew it out on graphing paper and then  I colored it and tapestry crocheted it.

and after it was finished crocheted, i washed it and sewed shelf liner on it so it wouldn't slide.
The dog loves the door mat sooo much that he lays on it rather than on his bed

3  Crochet Challenge 8 Entry-- Union Jack Beanie in Crochet: Completed Projects by Beccahacom on: January 23, 2009 09:32:00 AM
I used Red Heart Super saver in red white and blue at the price of $2.28 a skein.

The inspiration came form my friend who asked me to make her a Union Jack Beanie

i designed the pattern myself with help of an image of the flag.

So i have been a crochet fool and I made lots of squares, the ravelry and crafster one.

here they are

this one was inspired by one that i had seen on the ravelry blog.

I started the square and i liked the pattern so much i ended up making two of them in alternating colors. The yarn I am using is plymouth yarn Encore worsted weight. i have no idea what the size of my squares are i decided i was just going to crochet and hope they all turn out the same size..

but here is a link to my squares.
