31  Granny blanket finally completed! in Crochet: Completed Projects by ewushka on: February 25, 2009 09:55:45 AM
Last year I made 5 different baby blankets in granny squares. Finally I decided that I needed one for myself and so I went ahead and made 320 squares, but then came the holidays and I had to concentrate on making presents and the squares was forgotten.
Anyway, a month ago I decided that it was time to put them all togeter and here's the result:

Close up:

It's entirely made out of wool superwash and is so warm and cozy.

These could come in handy? I am not in any way related to these cats, but I thought they'd find a home here.

I buy it here: www.rodatraden.com but that's in Sweden.
Here's a pic though so you'll get the image:

I think it should be enough, if it isn't you can always use a black panel in the sides, wich also helps slimming, like this

I don't know what to say about the vinyl one though. Vinyl is a bit tricky to sew in, and maybe it's better to get it taylor-fixed if you're not confident you can fix it yourself. Let it rest until you've made your first one. Maybe you'll figure stuff out as you go along?

36  Re: Totoro Swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by ewushka on: October 08, 2006 02:46:05 AM
check out this:
my ghibli collection

some of it is very rare- gotten at the Ghibli museum in Mitaka, Japan.

yeah, can't wait for the new film either!!!
hopefully we can do this or the Ghibli swap in September.
We have at least two of those in our Ghibli-cabinet. We haven't actually been to the Ghibli-museum, but my hairdresser s married to a japanese woman and every time they go to visit her parents they bring us much goodies Smiley Last time we got a wonderful Kodama-piece that changes colour when you turn it on. My absolute favorite has to be the music.box with Totoro.
When our hairdresser moves to Japan (within a year or two) we will go see them (free house and bording) and go berserk at the Ghibli-museum ourselves Smiley

I have corsets with that extra hip-part. It works great!

You can see it here if you try really hard Smiley

I'm glad you liked what I sent you, Aliwa. Since Ewushka sent me such great things I tried to work extra hard to make a good swap package. BTW took the messenger bag with me to England and managed to get some black crap on it during the Ryan air flight (there was a lot of turbulence at the end, I was scared shitless)

I'm sure that sounds far worse than it is. Using "black crap" and "shitless" in the same sentence kinda sounds like you did something you shouldn't do in the bag Smiley

Here's the content of the package I didn't report to Melladh about fast enough.

It's a dino-bag, lavenderpockets and hairpins with skulls.
I'm pleased. Smiley

40  Re: Potty Mouth Sweary Swap Gallery! Not for the easily offended OK? in The Swap Gallery by ewushka on: May 28, 2006 07:30:24 AM
Here's the stuff I got from Safetyfox:

I love the Haha FUCK YOU!-patch, it will be used soon. I promise. The socks came in handy yesterday when my bf had gone a bit crazy, opening every window in the appartment, and the magnets were hillarious. How about words like "cuntfinger"( has to be the middle finger?) and  "arsebreath"?

I love it all!
