I'm so surprised that this is still getting hits and comments even a year later, he and I are long since broken up - thanks for all the kind words everyone!
I'm so glad that you all enjoyed it!

It all sort of started because I inherited some vintage patterns from my grandmother. The shape and the style of one of the dress patterns was perfect, it just needed to be altered a bit (made shorter, arms expanded, neckline changed and so on).

The paint was just acrylic paint mixed with hand lotion and applied with paintbrushes. It was insanely basic, I would have loved to have access to something as high tech as an airbrush, probably would have gone on a lot smoother.

Thanks for all the lovely comments!

This was done for the fan expo in the spring, you have no idea how much attention you get when you're painted green  Cheesy

That's me as an Orion in original series Starfleet duds. I didn't exactly adhere to canon, as I'd originally wanted to go full out as an Orion slave girl. Alas, it was April in Calgary and for those of you who know - effing freezing. The Starfleet outfit, which I made out of flannelette, was much better for not freezing off my little green bum.

Driving down there. By the end of the day right around my neck under my chin was the most worn, but the paint on my hands held up surprisingly well.

And me talking to my friend who was providing Stormtrooper security for the event.

Yay - it was a really fun day and I had a great time with the dress.
Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking!

Thank you all for the kind words, I'm so glad you all appreciated it!

I know some of you asked - for the costume we used a sh!t ton of glitter on his skin, the eyebrows are of course felt and I cut a ladies wig to get that perfect Rob Pattinson 'spike-poof'. This is what he actually looks like...

(Yes, we are dressed as Death Eaters but that's pretty representative of our natural 'look')

And! Yes - I did make my own costume too  Cheesy - here's a full shot:

Its Cleopatra-ish despite my lack of skin pigment

Anyway thanks again everyone!!!

I mentioned in another thread that my boyfriend requested that we dress him up in an outrageous Edward Cullen costume and here are the results...

All sparkly and pretty

Sniffing me like I'm his "personal brand of heroin"

A couple girls at the party who really liked his felt eyebrows

It turned out great and he was a big hit - thanks for looking!

This is awesome! My boyfriend requested the same costume though as more of a mockery of the books.
We're coating him in glitter, spiking up his hair and putting him in a ivory turtle neck.
He will also have MASSIVE Robert Pattinson EYEBROWS (I'm sticking giant fluffy bits of brown wool over his natural eyebrows) and he's carrying a monkey backpack that we stole borrowed from cousin for the great "Hold on spider monkey" line.

Maybe that helps? Hahah, good luck - and hope you have fun with it! Cheesy
