1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Reverse French with Stars! on: July 14, 2012 09:58:09 PM
I really wanted to try the reverse French manicure that keeps popping up on pintrest and yesterday when I was all ready to go... I discovered that I didn't have any round stickers. What I did have was stars!

I kinda like it... Did it work? Smiley
2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Dragons! on: February 24, 2012 06:18:48 PM
So. Friends of ours had a baby recently and for him... I made a dragon! I didn't have a pattern, so I just made it up, he's a little wonky, but it adds to his charm I think.

Thanks for looking Smiley

Thanks jo_mama! Though I'm still just as useless as far as colours go, I never even thought about the flowers blending in with my dress - good thinking Smiley

Colour is a good idea - thanks to those who suggested. The only problem with that is... we really don't have colours so I wouldn't know what to do.

Lillie -
The tutorial I used calls for a thinner paper to curl the edges with, but then you'll want a thicker paper as you attach to the wires with hot glue, unless you're ok with burning your fingers. Smiley
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / A Very Harry Bouquet on: August 15, 2011 08:47:07 PM
My boyfriend and I are getting married at the beginning of next year and I've been playing with ideas for a non-plant bouquet. There are lots of beautiful ideas out there for fabric and paper flowers so I decided to try this one  http://www.100layercake.com/blog/2011/07/22/diy-storybook-paper-roses/

Nothing seemed more appropriate than Harry Potter for me, so I used a thrift-store copy of Philosopher's Stone.

Hope you guys enjoy - lemme know what you think?

Aha I was going to say that too - nice choice of book to model on.
I just saw the words 'improbability drive' under your lovely work. Life, the Universe and Everything?
