1  Re: Help with Metal Snaps.. in Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions by screamer on: October 05, 2007 05:50:01 PM
Yes, that makes sense. See, I thought I was doing that part right. In the pack I bought I have 2 posts.

& where my directions in the pack were very, VERY vague I wasn't sure to use what post for which side. I thought I used the post on the left for the top & the one on the right for the bottom. At least that's what the directions were saying. I even tried just using the left post on both sides & seeing if they fit together. I've wasted so many snaps trying different ways.
See what's happening is they just don't fit together. I know which parts go on which & everything so my problem has to be the posts i'm using. But they came in the pack together. I don't get it. Sorry if that confuses you. It's just very frustrating because the directions aren't very good. I think I need to invest in some better snaps anyways.

But thank you, thank you for taking the time to explain. I really appreciate it!

2  Pink Polka Dot Wristlet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by screamer on: October 05, 2007 01:54:27 PM
I'm on a wristlet kick & I made a new one. Thought i'd share.

I've been wanting to make bands on my wristlets. Sort of like this :

but every time I try it I always get confused & they don't turn out right. Anyone know if theres an easy way to do this while putting in a zipper?

Sorry I didn't ask this in the question area of the forum. I just figured i'd include it  because I was posting anyway.

Thanks for looking!

3  Sling bag, wristlet & tote. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by screamer on: March 30, 2007 04:45:43 PM
Hi! These past few day i've been making new bags. Thought i'd show them off.
My sister was kind enough to model for me.  Cheesy

Sling bag (or what i call a sling bag)

The sling bag is kinda big, but thats how I like them.

I really love the wristlet, it was my first attempt at a wristlet & I think it came out well. It has velcro on the inside so the stuff is sure to stay in & a button on the outside but thats mainly just for looks.

The princess tote I made awhile back. My plan was to sell it but it didnt work out with the person that wanted to buy it. So i'm still hanging on to it.

I've been making a lot of bags lately, I don't know what to do with them. My friends are encouraging me to sell them (since my bank account is negative 20 bucks at the moment) but i'm not sure how much I would charge. I'm not good at that stuff, lol. But we'll see how it goes. Right now I just want to show them off. =D

Thanks for looking!

4  Purple sling bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by screamer on: March 28, 2007 03:16:23 PM
Hello! I've been a member for a lonnnng time & i've just recently got the urge to actually post something I've made.

I made this bag about 7 months ago & I still carry it. I love it but it's getting a bit worn out.
I call these sling bags, I don't really know the correct name for them.  =p
Sorry the pictures are small & weird. I took them a long time ago to show a friend and I can't find the originals on my computer.

Thanks for looking!
