21  Bottle Worlds!! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by FriendlyNeighbourPsycho on: June 01, 2009 03:18:24 PM
So Ive seen some amazing bottle jewelry but most of the time it invovles little clay creations...but not being that talented I decided to give it a try some other way. These ideas poped in my head and I set at it straight away.
The first is one of my favorite scenes from My Neighbour Totoro, I tried my best to give it a Miyazaki vibe. Im super excited for how it turned out.

And incase anyone is interested I took a picture of it before I shoved it in the bottle, I cut a bit off the sides after this picture. You can kind of see where I cut out the Totoro's but it was a close as I could cut them.

My Flutterby bottle Smiley I swear the butterflies look better than they do in the picture maybe Ill take a picture of them later but the dangly part gave me the most frustration out of all of these! Well besides taking the pictures of coarse!

I havent wrapped them yet I was just to excited to post my creations. I have a few more planned but after having some frustrations I decided to quit for the day Smiley Would love to know what you guys think..sorry the pictures are kinda crap...stupid little bottles are hard to take pictures of!

23  Gamer Jewelry (Updated) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by FriendlyNeighbourPsycho on: May 14, 2009 04:08:37 PM
I was a bit unsure what catagory to post these but decided to group them together and post them here. The first is a beaded ring I made but the focal bead is the Xbox button from a Guitar Hero guitar. I had to cut it down quite a bit and poke holes in it but for my first attempt at a beaded ring I love it.

For the next one I must first admit that I adore the little guy on the plasmid videos from Bioshock. I saw an evolve today T-shirt and this idea sprung up. Its made out of a domino and I just drew on it with a cd writer pen (I didnt have a small enough sharpie at the time). I thought the beads looked electrobolt-ish so I had to add them.

Would love to hear what you guys think Smiley.

*Update* OMG Thank you guys for making my ring apart of your Gamer Wednesday!! I figured I would update you guys with some new stuff Cheesy

Made these two early on this year, they were both made from an Xbox 360 controller.

And just made these two recently from a PS2 controller.
Thanks again guys! Smiley

24  Fruits Basket bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by FriendlyNeighbourPsycho on: February 26, 2009 09:28:00 AM
I bought a GIGANTIC bag of wooden beads from a thrift store. I was inspired by the zodiac collection Shigure has that Tohru first admires at the very beginning of the manga/anime. I found a few pictures from both the anime and the manga and a few projects that people had done themselves. So I started hand painting all of them and decided that I would have to add a few more beads to make it complete. I sealed all the beads with modpodge after I deemed them good enough since it was all I had for some sort of sealer. I first put them on stretch cord but it turned out to be way to huge and the paint kind of rubbed off after awhile. So after almost a year later I had a new idea and set to work. Im pretty happy with how it turned out now even though it took forever to figure out a good spacing. I hope everyone can see all the details on the beads one or two may be hard to see. Sorry for the huge intro Cheesy onto the picture!

25  Bathroom Humor in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by FriendlyNeighbourPsycho on: February 26, 2009 09:04:46 AM
So this is somewhat of a running inside joke in our house. It started out as it was going to be something to hang outside the bathroom door knob but evolved to this. I painted it on a wooden plate that I bought from a dollar store. I was a bit unsure what catagory to post it under but I settled for here. I hope no one gets offended or anything.

26  Barbie Shoes! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by FriendlyNeighbourPsycho on: February 25, 2009 08:06:42 PM
So this is my first post and I should probably mention that I am a long time lurker that finally got around to making an account. Id thought Id share my first pair of earrings that I made like two years ago. I was inspired by all the other awesome people here so here goes nothing! The first pair is the uber girly pink barbie shoe earrings..the second I made at a later date in an attempt to make them more umm classy maybe? I figured since they were gold the that they needed something to make them a bit more formal.

Thanks for looking!
