11  Re: All Things Hayao Miyazaki Swap GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by ecogeek* on: July 09, 2010 10:48:50 PM
So I received from samigurumi  Grin!  I love everything so lets show the goodies.

First an awesome crocheted forest spirit.

Second an awesome hand drawn notebook which will soon be my purse notebook  Cheesy love the fact that there is a radish spirit  Grin

Thirdly a great one strap Calcifer backpack, with a cute soot sprite on the inside. I love it! It has so many pockets. Every time I see it all I can think is "I'm a scary and powerful fire demon".

And the last but far from least a Totoro sweater taken directly of my wist. It is a bit big so I might take it in a bit but it is so awesome. Unfortunately though his face faded in the wash. Still awesome although faded.

Thank you so much samigurumi. Everything is so great. I hope you like everything my package as much as I liked yours  Grin

13  Like a streak of light he arrives just in time..... in CHALLENGE 52 ENTRIES by ecogeek* on: July 06, 2010 01:50:18 AM
So I know that this isn't the most creative of bedsheet recreations but I'm super proud of this. I found this sheet at Value Village for like 3 dollars, it was mint condition and I was super excited to find it  Smiley And of course since my 19th birthday was coming up nothing seemed more appropriate for becoming an official adult than a spiderman dress. It's just a simple cross bust top and a circle skirt but it's my first attempt at an invisible zipper and it worked out well (well i think it did). It is made of the spiderman sheet and lined with a plain white sheet that was lying around my house. It does have some small things I need to fix but I finished this a few hours before I had to wear it so I'm happy it stayed together and fits me well. Let me know what you think. And sorry about the picture quality, my little brother had to take them  Tongue

18  superhero swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by ecogeek* on: June 06, 2010 12:37:19 AM

hey craftsters

so i know there has to be some other fans of caped and non caped crusaders out there. i know there have been comic book swaps before but i was thinking just superheroes. i just wanted to put the idea out there because the universe has been sending me signs (spiderman is showing up way too much for it not to mean something). i'm in several swaps right now but once some wrap up I'd be up for trying my hand at organizing if theres some interest.

19  My Faux Po Campo in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by ecogeek* on: May 22, 2010 02:58:29 AM
So I don't know how many other chic cyclists we have lurking here on Craftster, but anyone who is one probably knows about Po Campo and the awesome bike bags they make. I've been lusting over their rack bags for at least a month now but because of there limited availability and large price tag, I decided to make my own. I created the pattern using pictures off the internet and measurements from their site.

The Original

My Take

Semi Action Shots

It's not perfect but I'm happy how it turned out considering I made the pattern and everything Smiley
