Hi, thank you for your comment Smiley
Yep, totally a bargain and quick to make.
I just made my own pattern, it's basically an a-shaped tank top.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Super Breezy Summer Dress on: July 20, 2012 02:08:39 AM

It's melting hot here in Barcelona so I made this super breezy dress out of a fabric I bought in winter for less than $2 a yard. It's basically just a long tank top with a curved hem.

I am thinking to sew another one in a grey batiste but that's quite transparent and I am not sure how to line it without making it lose its bounce and flow. I was thinking a matching camisole...

What do you think?
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Skinny Straps Denim Bag on: May 22, 2012 01:51:30 AM
This is my newest bag: a sturdy everyday denim bag with skinny leather straps.

It has a red cotton lining and 2 inner pockets.

Would love to hear your suggestions and ideas about this bag!

Thanks for looking!

Hey, just saw your comments (for some reason the "notify" function didn't properly notify me of you kind words:).

The elastic is a bit over 1 inch wide, but I think you can use wider elastic if you have it around the house.

I was afraid the floral trims will make it look a bit pajamy Smiley but I think they work of for summer :>

Thank you for looking:)
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / A Very Simple Maxi Skirt on: May 07, 2012 08:16:14 AM
I made this skirt in only a couple of hours, it's a flowy crepe de chine with a knit fabric high waist that can be draped in many ways. It could work as a maternity dress as well.

The lining is shorter (you can see it peaking in the second photo) and has two lateral slits so I can bike in the skirt.

What do you think?

These are awesome, you're very good with felt!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Blue Spring Shorts With Floral Trims on: April 01, 2012 09:51:14 AM

I made these shorts today. They only took a couple of hours to sew and I am quite happy with they fancy yet girly look. All I need now is a pair of saddle shoes.

In case you want to give it a try and make a pair, I've posted the tutorial and the pattern on my blog: http://skyturtle.net/how-to-make-a-pair-of-fancy-shorts-tutorial-and-free-pattern/

Thank you for looking :>

Love the dress! I think I would have passed on the tulle for the back and the strip on the front, but that's just me. Otherwise, awesomeness!
