1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Hemp and Bottlecap bracelet on: June 30, 2013 03:39:22 PM
absolutely!  I was intending to take some better pictures, but I got distracted. That one was pretty much just a quick snap with my phone once I'd finished it.

For the most part, I had just been playing around trying different things, so some of the bits kind of got put together in awkward ways.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Hemp and Bottlecap bracelet on: June 29, 2013 07:43:42 PM

I was just messing around and came up with a couple of these,  this is by far the most 'finished' of them, though.

These are awesome.  I'll have to show them to my son, he'll love them.

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Mini bottle cap comic book slave bracelet on: June 26, 2013 06:25:22 PM

Each of the little bottle caps contains an image cut out of an Archie comic book, sealed with resin. I connected them with jump rings and little split rings, then made the two chains of beads to help it hold its shape a bit better.

oh, cool! I'd just been browsing through recent posts and just kind of paused to go "hey, that bridge looks familiar".  lol it's so weird just randomly coming across a picture of my hometown like that.

9  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hi from Illinois on: January 04, 2009 01:07:53 PM
Hi, I'm Cai. I'm 31, a divorced mother of two, and a full time college student. I enjoy making things for myself, or at least putting a more personal touch on my things (even so far as my sticker-decorated laptop). I like to scrapbook, paint, draw, and enjoy sewing, though at this point I spend more time cussing at my hand me down machine than I do actually getting anything done.  There seem to be a lot of great ideas on this site that I'm looking forward to trying out.
