Christmas memories? hmmm I have no idea how old I was, but I remember my parents putting up a cardboard fireplace so santa could come deliver toys. I remember buying into it completely.

Count me in, just need to lie down a bit before I can do questionnaire, and might have to wait a few days to claim. Had little bitty surgery, but feeling exhausted so back to bed for me.

Glad that bowl turned out so nice  - always a risk when ordering on line

I'm a little delayed in posting pictures, but finally have a few minutes since I am home today recovering from surgery (no big deal, all okay).

Here is the sweet pin cushion I received from La Chapa. Lovely color choices!

She also sent a couple toys for my cat Phoebe, who loves them! and a beautiful post card

I also received this gorgeous bag from Fishstix with a very handy dandy swifter cover too. The bag is huge and lovely and reversable to a wonderful solid blue but love the patterned side so much doubt I will be reversing it.

thank you both for the lovely packages!

Sunday seems to be my day to be here... taking a break from hand stitching a binding on a flannel rag quilt. It is going to take me forever! then again, I think I have been working on this quilt for about 2 years already so what is another couple months to get the binding done. I really need to get myself focused. I have a 9 patch that is nearly done being pieced (made with jelly rolls received in this swap) Grandma's flower garden with all the flowers started, just need to finish doing a row of white around each and then black 'sashing' hexies to go between the flowers, and now I am trying to start on the grandbaby's I-spy quilt even though I have these 3 others that need to be finished and the 17-yr-old going off to college next year and in need of a homey quilt to keep the love of her family close by each night. Yep, must focus.

Sunday morning and I am back - claiming Smeddley for something purchased

3 claims, 0 sent, 0 received

About Me: My name is Laura and I live in Maryland with my husband, 3 kids, granddaughter, a dog, a cat, a rabbit, and a box turtle.

For most things, I would prefer items inspired by my pinterest instead of exact duplicates.

We have no allergies here (other than awful ragweed allergies... but can't see that as much of an issue in swap packages). We have been having a go at switching from a vegetarian diet to a vegan diet so probably better to stay away from foods unless they are vegan.

Please feel to claim me for anything on my Please make this for me boards on pinterest:

Anything inspired by something on my blue and white board is fair game too:
http://www.pinterest.com/averiakrazy/blue-white/

or really any board... I love pinterest surprises.

Favorite themes (love mashups!)
   - Firefly - Jayne is my favorite, as well as anything with just Serenity
   - Stitch, Toothless or Baymax (really love mash-ups)
   - Harry Potterish, favorite things are Dobby, SPEW, Neville, the word "Always"
   - Hobbits, the One Ring or relating to the Tree of Gondor
   - Princess Bride

BIG WISH: I am collecting fabrics for an eye spy ticker tape quilt. Would love a few squares/rectangles of fabric with a subject identifiable by a preschooler. anywhere in the 2"x2" to 4"x4" size. Please make sure there is at least .5" margin around the design.

Also Big Wish: I really love mugrugs & Coasters - need more for my new craftroom. Would love in any theme above or just blue or blue and white.

~ Reusable swiffer covers

~ fabric, crochet or knit bowls, baskets, bins

~ Simple indigo placemats or napkins with subtle accents, like maybe a tiny smidge of embroidery, or a shell painted, stamped, appliqued in a corner, or maybe even a little bleach stenciling on it
