1  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Round 15 in The Swap Gallery by Averia on: December 17, 2019 07:41:42 PM
I received from Jemimah! I am so seriously craftster crushing on her.

Here is the stocking - love the sashiko patterned  fabric and the sweet bit of embroidery on the cuff.

books? she sent my grandbaby books? paid international shipping? They are lovely and Shannon was here when I received and tore right into them. You made her very happy Kirsten.

The card, a little crocheted tag/ornament, all the purchased goodies - dinosaur skeleton postits, hemp cord for bracelets, fabric, and bell ornaments,

EPP star mug rug - I believe I had this pinned for placing under a candle, but I think I will make this my Christmas time mug rug at my desk instead. The colors are so very perfect for me.

Not just one piece of artwork, but 3 lovely mini watercolor paintings. These are just gorgeous!

I want a whole village of blue houses! Aren't these darling? so much love

Socks! In all my years of swapping I never once received socks. I am delighted with these! and she included the label to let me know it was alpaca yarn? love it!

Thank you Jemimah, Yet again you have really wowed me with your generosity and your skills!

hey someone figured out I like blue! TAOJ sent me a beautiful blue package!

So much blue - blue ornaments, a blue fluffy pen, tissues, and a lovely bracelet with beads spelling morse code for Strong. Love it!

even blue wrapped candy!

adorable embroidered mitten ornaments

Best of all? this truly gorgeous hat. The colors are so beautiful, it is a perfect fit and I love the way it looks with the curly hair.

Thank you Paula, I love everything!

3  Re: Winter Book Swap 2019 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Averia on: December 09, 2019 08:09:29 PM
I was lucky enough to be paired with out amazing organizer - so much spoilage!

First up - the books - BLUE!!!! I love blue! I can't believe she got me a book about blue porcelain - looks like a lovely piece of period fiction about someone crafting with blue... i really love blue Cheesy oh um the other book looks good too, but unfortunately not blue. I really really love blue. Just kidding, seriously the other book looks good too.

Also shown, a box of assorted teas, a mug, and embroidered felt pencil toppers. Having a cup of Mojito Mint green tea right now (honest mint green tea with a hint of lime - delicious!)

Yummy chocolates - there was another layer just like this one, but somehow I blinked and it was gone?

So many bookmarks! I really want to play with your washi tape stash!!!

Hoopla #52 for my collection! I swear this could be my mom - you haven't been peeking at pictures of my family from 35 years ago?

And if all that wasn't enough, the best of all - an embroidered handkerchief. Such a sweet embroidery. Love the blue dress and that the hair has waves!

Thank you Kittykill!

4  Re: Cozy Toes for Christmas Swap Gallery (Send 12/10) in The Swap Gallery by Averia on: December 03, 2019 06:26:34 PM
Be prepared for spoilage - EdelC went way above and beyond.

First up - the ever so soft and fluffy slippers in a lovely shade of blue - honest there are two no matter what it looks like in the picture

I need to add some explanation for this picture - My father was named Clare. Not Clarence, Clare - his mother named him after County Clare in Ireland. My daughter is Victoria Clare - I shared with Edel and she sent me terrific County Clare swag for my daughter. As well as a journal, an adorable blue mailbox ornament for my blue christmas tree and reusable fabric bags in a couple great prints.

I ended up missing the Great British Bake Off swap but Edelc saw that I loved it and sent me the best stenciled shirt ever!

I am probably including this in the wrong swap, but either way it is way above and beyond swap requirements - I am a Severus Snape fan in a big way, and this word just kills me.

Thank you Edelc, Chatting with you and swapping with you have been a true pleasure.

5  Re: HP Holiday Ornament & Stocking Stuffer Gallery - Round 3 (Send 12/2) in The Swap Gallery by Averia on: December 03, 2019 06:17:50 PM
Coming here to post pictures is making me too emotional, but I must share the amazing package I received from Edelc

So much adorable HP Swag and 2 wonderful ornaments (and probably a shirt? I was putting it with the Cozy toes package but I have probably messed things up. A lot has happened since I opened this fabulous package)

Luna close up!!!! She is the best! I can't believe the detail you put into this ornament. The earrings! perfect little tiny radishes.

Edel, how could you? I feel like a monster having this on my tree but you know it went right up on my blue tree immediately! Unicorn blood just as I imagine it would look.

Thank you for being such a wonderful generous and fascinating partner!

7  back of car seat organizer in Completed Projects by Averia on: November 03, 2019 03:54:03 PM
I am probably putting this in the wrong place, but it didn't really seem to fit in any of the sewing categories.

I didn't see anything out there that was exactly what I wanted so I stitched up this organizer with a zippered pocket to hold an old tablet we had laying around, and pleated pockets for books, a drink, crayons and whatever else my grandbaby might want in the car. I made the clear window by recycling a plastic wrapper from a set of sheets. The strap has velcro and is somewhat adjustable.

A bit of a glare in the picture, but hopefully will be fine to watch videos through.

8  yet another biscornu in Needlework: Completed Projects by Averia on: November 03, 2019 03:18:13 PM
I had meant for this to be a white elephant gift at the Maryland meet up, but alas, family emergency the night before kept me from finishing on time. I love to make biscornu - they look much more difficult (at least to me) than they are to put together. This one is 3", with just a smidge of beading.

top view

bottom view - including a little goof - one design is a space off, but that just shows it is handmade, right?]
