43  It's Fall Ya'll in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by quaggy on: November 07, 2016 06:20:11 AM
Years back I had a kiln and before selling it put some stuff into bisque.  Now these things have been sitting for about 12 years just waiting to be painted.   I always made things in sets of 2 or 3....I for my mom, my sister and me.  Knowing mom would enjoy this scarecrow as a table decoration and it was a piece I had always loved I got them out dusted them off ans got busy.   Here are the photos from start to finish.   They are bisque, them painted black and dry brushed with all the colors.  They even have a clip light that make the pumpkins light up.   Since Hobby Lobby had all their picks and bales 1/2 off I decided to add a little bit of fall landscaping!

Mom loved him and sorry sis, the 2nd one is for me!

Here is the before and the after.  I just need to put the jute hanger back through the hole!  Gonna call these "Oh Wooden Christmas Tree"

OK so here is the progress that I have made since this group introduced me to hexies!

This is my bowl of paperclips!  I normally use them all then stitch what is in the large bin and refill the paper clip bowl.

Ready to finish stitching these and fill my paperclip bowl up again!

Next is my complete single hexies waiting to be paired for flowers.

This basket is holding 28  sets of petals and flower centers waiting to be connected.

Here are 29 flowers that have been sewn and are waiting on their final round

These 5 are finished

7 more center flowers with fabric chosen for the outer ring.

and the last one with the outer ring ready to be stitched into place.

I am planning on possibly using black fabric to connect them all and shooting for quilt to fit on my king size bed.

I need to go back and check out when the swap started to get a feel of my progress.

Thank you ladies for creating a monster!

My package arrived from Bigbangmomma a few days back, but I decided to wait and open it today since it is my B-Day!  I was super spoiled and love everything!  Such a great partner!

Theme 1 was skulls!

Bigbangmomma made me a terrific fabric covered journal.....love the fabric! and the size!

A wooden skull that I can hang on the wall or display on an easel......perfect colors....they are pearl paints.....my favorite colors

A cute paper mache painted skull that matches the paint on the larger one!

The 2 together!

I use totes all the time and I got some for all 5 themes......these are awesome.....Canvas bag with a different theme on each and lined with fabric that matches the theme.
Great size and 1 for all 5 workdays of the week.....my stuff is gonna be carried in style!!!

Here is the tote for my skull theme!  What a fun Tuesday tote and it is lined with skull fabric!

Bigbangmomma also made me a pocket letter that has 2 skulls that will be posted a little later!
and 2 cards for snail mail....

Theme 2 was owls and once again spot on.
First up this cute ami owl which has a vintage feel, being monotone...so cute and detailed.  I love owls and do not crochet or knit so this is an awesome gift!!!!

That is not an orange hat but a vintage lamp in the background.

and just look at my Mondays are a hoot tote!  Bling Bling....loving the sparkle! and the lining!

Theme 3 is camping!  A favorite pastime of mine!

Tote 3 has a cute vintage camper and it is for Thursday!  The lining fabric is to die for!

I also got a cute camping card to send in snail mail or a swap package and heres the photo for my skull cards as well!

and in my pocket letter yet to come...camping

time for a snack?Huh go ahead I will wait....told all that I was spoiled!

Theme 4 is for school bus!

Just look at this adorable button school bus hoop!  This is headed to work to hang on my office wall. I love it!  Buttons are a favorite of mine!

and my Wacky Wednesday tote personalized just for me!!!!!!

more bus stuff later in my pocket letter post!

Theme 5 is fishing!  My favorite pastime!

Here is Fridays tote.......more bling and such cute fabric....where did you find all of these lining fabrics, they are all just perfect!

and a cute fish candle that has been hanging around since bigbang was in high school!  I have a collection of fish stuff so he will have some friends!

OMG.....look at this adorable new insulated cup! Hot or cold I am in business!

Fish tremble when they here my name!

Now to my pocket letter......for those that do not know what I am talking about here it is! A nine pocket atc card holder.

Just look at each card......

even a ATC Bigbangmomma ATC Trading Card with bio on back!

BBG decided to use my pocket letter and include several themes.  Although she makes ATC this was her first pocket letter....and I am the proud owner!
he one skull is an iron on patch and I love the skull drawings....the bus...and all the camping

BBM shared that she learned how to make envelopes....Pocket letters are made in a nine pocket sleeve, with either one theme or multiple themes, cards are embellished and slide into each slot.  Them little goodies are placed in the space behind, and a letter from you partner in one space.  BBM made an envelope for each slot to store the goodies.

Here is a photo of the back prior to me removing the envelopes.

after removing the envelopes I found more artwork and some quotes and notes.

Here are the cute little envelopes empty!

and all my goodies that were hidden inside!

The school bus charm even has passengers inside.........to cute
and look at the awesome skulls!

Thank you Bigbagmomma so much for a wonderful package!  I love everything and the fact that my package arrived so close to my B-day!  You are an awesome partner!

Here is the lining in the fish tote!

I tried to rotate my photos but it did not work!
