1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / kyoko dress Modkid/Patty Young on: September 14, 2009 08:29:18 PM
Love this pattern!

My 8 yo is skinny so traced a 2 for width and 8 for length.

Everyone who sees her in this loves this dress.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Ottobre 1/2007 #11 playdress on: February 07, 2009 06:46:45 PM

size 98 for a very slim 7yo (and still very roomy). I added 4 inches to length. Added machine embroidered butterflies and used cover stitch for neck and hems. sews up fast!

This is the second time I've used this pattern and I really like it.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Ottobre t-shirt 5/2006 #35 on: February 07, 2009 06:42:35 PM

size 158 for a size 14 girl.  I used 3/4 sleeves and didn't add the ruffles at the neck or sleeves.  Looks like this will be a good basic T pattern to use.
Used the cover stitch on my serger for neck and hems.
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / gift card boxes on: January 09, 2009 10:58:20 PM
I made one box following the instructions on the Heather Bailey site and then couldn't stop at one. Everything has been potential material for a box.  this isn't all of them. yeah, I did use one for a gift card but I've found they are the perfect size for wallet sized pictures.  So I've been printing out pictures and filling up boxes.  Nice way to end my guilt over all the pictures I haven't scrapbooked. These are the undecorated ones.  I can't stop myself.  My kids keep asking what are you going to do with all those? these were made from magazine covers, scrap paper and cards.   I can't stop myself.  did I say that already? Smiley
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Tiny album on: January 09, 2009 10:44:58 PM
I'm kinda tired of doing 12 x 12 or 8 1/2 x 11 lately so I've been experimenting with different ways of showing off our pictures.  In fact, everytime I do a clean up of my  stuff I find myself wondering if I can make a scrapbook out of it.  Well, the other day I was cleaning up my sewing area and came across those little cardboard things you wind embroidery floss on.  I was about to pitch them--my embroidering days are long past--when I realized they would be a perfect little album.

I made thumbnails of pictures from my daughters' trip to Europe.  On the back I put the location and a punched-out a shape to add some color to it. It's held together with a circular clip--what are those things called?--and i tied some orange trim on it for more color.  Since I was giving it to my daughter as a gift I made a pillow box to hold it so it wouldn't get lost on her desk.
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / my 1st recon purse on: January 09, 2009 10:02:51 PM
Feeling inspired by everyone here I gave this a try. Used a size 5 little girls jeans.  Already had embroidery so I added the beaded fringe and hand stitched knit lining just below the waistband. The yellow dots match the yellow jeans thread. Made straps from a leg.  I squared off the corners at each side on the bottom so it has flat bottom. Still have some jeans leg left so I'm going to make another little purse soon.

My daughter loves it. And I think I'm going to become addicted to purse making.
