1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Extra stitches on: April 11, 2009 01:04:57 PM
This is my first times knitting anything, so I think I might have been a little ambitious when I chose the pattern.

I'm working on a long-almost-tunic-length-t-shirt and I've probably ripped out the first three rows a dozen times over the last two days. For some reason I keep ending up with between 2 and 4 extra stitches on the third row every single time. I don't know if it's how I've been joining the rows or if I'm just miscounting on the second row (because my cast on is always properly accounted for).

Does anyone have any ideas for what could be going wrong? I'm used to crochet, so this could just be me having a nitpicky fit over something that's perfectly normal. =/

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's so adorable. Too bad my little one is too rough for anything like that.
Smiley It's nice to pretend sometimes, though.

I believe your face in the last photo should let him know just how upset you are with him.

(Needless, the hat is super cute.)

It is absolutely gorgeous. I've been looking at a set of old, too-small-for-my-bed cotton sateen 300ct. for a while. No idea what to do with them. XD But sheets are just huge pieces of fabric, aren't they?

And bubble hems are sometimes so difficult. Grats on attempting them. I know I can never get them right.

Okay so I just made this hat, and I don't know what's wrong with me, but it definitely comes to a peak at the top, and it looks ridiculous.

I messed up the little "tail" thing in the beginning (sort of incorporated it into the rounds) and got the same thing. I just used some extra bits to sew it back down into place.

And little circles can be terribly tedious. Just finished a giraffe last night, so I'm right there with you.

The coat is just wonderful. Bright red is such an awesome color for dreary winter.

The dresses are so amazing. And it's nice to see tutorials that take into consideration lacks of dressforms. <3 Huzzah!

I would say that it looks like it takes a lot of draping. The collar especially.

I hope you have great luck with this project. It looks really interesting.

(btw- I'm Old Greg. Cheesy Love the Boosh. Can't wait for another season.)

This is such a good design. The collar is amazing and looks just as good up as it does down.
I'm going to have to add your portfolio to my favorites list. <3
