"It's not the size that counts, it's how you use it." XD

I added a little loop on the back to keep it on while I'm wearing it:

I am totally smitten with my completely inappropriate accessory. I have no place to wear it, but it was definatally one of the things I had the most fun creating.

Comments and construcitve cricisism (sp?) please.
12  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Penguin Lovebirds ~ on: June 08, 2009 07:46:35 PM
A family friend of mine asked for a pair of penguins. I was so excited when she requested them, because I have been secretly dying to make some. As a suprise I added little bows on them to distinguish gender and to make them lovebirds.

They stare lovingly into eachother's eyes:

13  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Panda-friend ~ on: May 29, 2009 06:21:41 PM
I made a pink version of this little guy for Valentines Day. However, my crocheting skills were very..... undeveloped then. When my other friend asked for a teal one, I was glad for a chance to re-work how I made pandas.

A close up of his heart-shaped eyes:

His little tail is my favorite part (something I completely forgot to put on the first one. o.o):

Thanks for looking. The little panda is currently on his way to Colorado with his new friend.
14  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Foodie Hats [hoho, salad, watermelon] on: May 29, 2009 06:07:52 PM
I have been busybusybusy cranking out foodie hats for my friends. I looove it.

My personal favorite of these is my Little Debbie Hoho hat. I made it for a friend and she's worn it non-stop. Unfortunatally, I only have one picture of it, and it's not that great. I should ask her to take more if she has the time.

The next one is a salad hat. I added crunchy croutons, sliced tomatos, chopped carrots, and eggs onto thick fluffy green yarn, which was the lettues. I made this for me for my school's spirit week. They had a "Salad dressing day" where you dress up as a coyboy for ranch dressing, french as french dressing, ect. I had nothing to wear, however, so I decided to make one of my hats and be the salad itself. I won the most creative costume of the day award because of it. hahaha.

And finally, today I finished up this one. It's a watermellon. However, my friends named it the Sombrero because they claim the front looks like the Mexican flag. :p

Thanks so much for looking.
15  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Gir ~ on: May 24, 2009 05:15:39 PM
I have never watched the show, so I have no idea what this character's real name is.  All I had to go off of for this commision was a few pictures off of Google. (thank you everyone who told me! )

16  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Ice Cream Sundae Elephant ~ on: May 17, 2009 08:12:43 PM
This little guy is my favorite thing ever (I know, I say that for everything. but really this time! ^-~)

Strawberry-Vanilla ice cream elephant topped with hot chocolate fudge, fluffy whipped cream, and a bright pink cherry.

Cherry and Whipped Creme:

I got the idea for the shape of the elephant from a post in the knitting catergory, but I lost it. I would love to give the person credit for the form, so if you have it, please tell me! Thanks. Smiley
17  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Evil Toaster and Toast buddies ~ on: May 17, 2009 08:06:17 PM
I made my swap partner from the Love of Stuffies swap a little plushie set.

Mr. Evil Toaster is out to get all little pieces of toast:

Close up of face (notice the fangs):

I made little toast buddies to go along with him. This is Blissfully Unaware toast. He has no idea what's coming to him:

This is Burnt Toast. He knows the horrors of what happens when the toaster eats you:

There's a pocket in the toaster where you can slip little toasties inside:

(These was before I finished attaching the face):

The whole "family" together (I took this before I finished the toaster's face, too):

18  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / iiiiiiiit's NANERPUS! ~ on: May 14, 2009 06:36:14 AM
My boyfriend absoutley loves the pancake banana guy, so I made him a plushie as a suprise.

They're the best of friends now Smiley

If you have no clue who nanerpus is, watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur0LENvY5TE

19  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / jelly fish plushie ~ [EDIT: more jellyfish. and a jelly fish hair clip] on: May 06, 2009 08:19:13 PM

a close up of his tentically goodness:

biiiig eyes. i especially am in love with his cute ruffle:

I've made a few more jellies. They're some of my favorite things to create.

This is a solid white one. I made his tenticallies extra-long:

A friend of mine is graduating in a week, and I promised her a plushie as a grad present. Her class colors are red, white, and black. She loooooves glitter, so I picked a white yarn with glittery strands through it, even though the pictures don't protray it well. Also, I added two little rhinstones on the eyes as "shine":

I had such a jellyfish fever, that I wanted one I could always carry around with me. So I made myself a little hairclip.

As you can probally tell, It's very hard for me to resist adding a cherry to anything:

Thanks for looking.
