anitacj - sorry to hear that.  Rough times definitely make it hard to want to craft.  On the other hand there may be some new craftertunities (yup, that's a word now) such as trying to craft only from what you already have, or make things for the house to save money, I think the frugal craft a long would be full of great ideas, or maybe something to help your husband stay upbeat or help with his job search.  I just finished university and I'm looking for a job and it's tough.  There are bad days, and those are the ones where I need the most love and support.  I'm sure you'll probably find the same sort of thing.  But you need to do whatever is best for you and your family. I received from Xandcraft today!

I love the travel ones because I've been to all these places! Some of them are actual pictures that she took! How great is that?!

I really love these green ones! I love the wind turbines and the one with all the little brads! (I love dimension and texture!)

Krafty_Karasu, I'm sure your inchies are great!  This was my first time with inchies and I was pretty nervous too.  Now that I've been receiving inchies I think the most exciting part is seeing everyone's different styles.  Just do things in your own style and I'm sure your partners will love them!

As someone new to the whole world of swapping it's interesting to hear things from an organizer's view point.  Thanks! Smiley

49  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Tabletop Zen Garden on: June 18, 2010 05:21:05 PM
I had a small wooden tray that i didn't know what to do with, so here's what I finally did!

I painted it with a crackle finish that i don't really like all that much.  I love the rest of it so much though that it's going to stay.  It turned out really cool, just not right for this project.  I did it using Elmer's glue.

I even made a tiny rake!! The teeth are from a bamboo skewer and the handle is a round chopstick!

More details of how I made it and what I used can be found on my blog.

Thanks for checking it out, I had a lot of fun making it!!!
