But its all good because our lovely organizer has taken care of it with the speed of a thousand gazelle's  Cheesy So I shall post the picture I sent to my partner. She wanted some coffee art for her kitchen in red cream and brown tones. I made her a collage out of scraps from magazines and filled it in with my markers and paint.
 So here is my lovely.

Thanks for looking. Every ones doing such a great job. Its amazing how many different types of wall art there is here.

4  Grow old with me! in Valentine's Day by nannyem on: February 02, 2011 02:19:48 PM
Here is my entry!
Ive been doing these collage's for a while now and this is my Valentine's one. It is made on a 8 1/2 by 11 piece of watercolor paper. I first use a wash of paint for the background color then glue down pictures and patterns from old magazines (I just love replacing heads with animal ones lol) Then I alter the images with markers, pens, pencils, and whatever else I can find. I seal in everything with a coat of mod podge. The quote is by Robert Browning.

5  Christmas purse! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by nannyem on: December 19, 2010 06:31:35 PM
So a few years ago I found craftster while searching for free purse patterns. Fast forward to now, and I'm a lover of all that is craftster! I found the courage to make things for myself, and then to make things for others through craft swaps. Which in the end gave me the courage to sell my other work. Thank you to all of the wonderful people who so thoughtful share their creations on craftster everyday.  Cheesy
So with that being said I wanted to share my latest purse. Its a gift for my mother-in-law. I make the handles out of nice leather belts I find at goodwill.

Here is the quilted wall hanging. Its so bright and colorful. Cheesy

Here's a shot with my daughter so you can see the size.

8  gift for my sister in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by nannyem on: September 09, 2010 08:02:21 AM
Just wanted to share my latest collage. I made if for my sister and her husband. I used cut up magazines, a glue stick and a bunch of markers. The style of collage I learned from Teesha Moore's videos on you tube. I just love them!! The quote is not my own, my sister found it online. Im not even sure I know what it means! Cheesy

9  So this is fun. . in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by nannyem on: August 13, 2010 07:15:59 PM
A lot of talk has been going around about the Teesha Moore Journals. I also enjoyed making those cool pillows. I also watched her other videos and Ive been having a blast making these collage pages.

So I just wanted to share a few I made. One was for a swap and the other is a picture before I added the lettering.
I decided to make each one a separate piece instead of a journal. They are each about the size of a standard sheet of paper.

I received from my partner GlinkS1063 We sent the same day to see if we would get our packages the same day, and we did. Cheesy For our swap we challenge ourselves to do two themed items for each other along with our other items. We did a Garage Sale Fab theme and a Coffee themed. So with out further Ado my lovely swap package.
First up is the amazing Origami Kusudama Balls made from old magazines. This are so cool. They are about the size of a grapefruit with some wooden and paper beads strung on. The picture does not do it justice.

Next are some hand painted plant stakes with matching seed packets and starter pots. I'm already putting some of these to use.

Then for our Garage Sale Fab She bought 2 ugly brown frames and made them 2 distressed frames with a toile fabric inside that she colored with markers. I think these are going into my fancy new bathroom we are remodeling.

And last for our Coffee theme she made Embroidered dish towel/oven mitts. They are soooooo cute and soooo needed. Wink

And not pictured are some tins of candy, stickers, and markers for my girls but I cant pry them out of their grubby little hands. Seriously I turned around and the older one had covered the younger ones face in stickers.  Cheesy
 Thank you so much!!!
