2 days into learning how to knit.  I got the caston real well, working on 1st knit row.  Did it take you long?  Did you get knitting right away?  Are you a crocheter too?   Sorry so many questions.

I had a friend on mine whos a great knitter teach me. i've never crocheted, no. I made that first scarf like a day after i first learned. Youtube was a great resource for me, if theres a certain stitch i didnt get i would try to look it up there, some great tutorials. also i got the stitch and bitch book and that had some great helpful tips.

Very cool scarves! Love the colors. The first one isn't terrible or ugly! I think it looks great.
What pattern did you use for the second one?

No pattern! I just did a rib stitch for about a million rows

oh and thank you! the rainbow scarf is just lion brand thick and quick. I used the biggest needles i could find because they made me happy. haha Smiley

Last winter i bought like 5 yards of this amazing cupcake pattened fleece at joannes. I made myself a hoodie, and my dog a matching one. she's since grown out of the old one so I made her a new one the other day!

She's so good at posing!

But, she doesn't like wearing the hood too much.  Tongue

and last but not least:

"I hate you, so much"

What an excellent idea! That fabric is soo cute.

I just put an old (9mos old) all cotton rug I had in my dogs crate, it was super thick and she chews up her blankets so hopefully that will kill 2 birds with one stone.
Haha yeah, before we just had a folded up quilt over it. the fabric on the flap is my favorite, its all these bully breeds and mastiffs and stuff lifting weights. hahaha

I live in a really old farm house that has no insulation, so for warmth at night I made my doggie a crate cover!

the crate with the front flap down

My Jack mix Chulita checking it out. She seems to like it, it keeps her toasty warm!

Its fleece on the inside, flannel on the outside with batting in the middle for extra warmth.

C&C Welcome!
