1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Grocery Store Mead, 3 Ways! on: August 06, 2012 09:20:50 AM
Oh, I must certainly try this... I love mead so much (actually have a bottle of it sitting on my desk right now) and although it is hard to get in England it looks like it's easier here than in Canada! I must make some though- Thanks for the tute!! Cheesy

Unfortunately I couldn't access my scans, but I do have the preliminary line drawings I made! They are pictures of the 4 main characters from BBC's Merlin.

1st up; Arthur (Bradley James)

Gwen (Angel Coulby)

Morgana (Katie McGrath)

And Merlin himself! (Colin Morgan)

Glad you liked it all, Spoopy! Smiley

Oooh... Will definitely have to think about this one! I'm re-decorating my room this summer, though, so may be without my craft stuff. Sad Finger's crossed!

I received yesterday from our wonderful swap organiser! She sent me two great things; a really nice dragon t-shirt, which is in my two favourite colours, fits perfectly and is an awesome design, and a beginners embroidery kit!! I already have a mind of what to embroider, so hopefully I can start it soon!

Here's a pic of the whole package;

One of the T-shirt on its own;

And the embroidery kit!

Also, sorry for the quality of pictures, I'm in the midst of moving home from University, and my good Camera is still packed up somewhere!! Thanks again TroubleT; both for the swap, and for the gifts!!

Happy Birthday all!

5  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: June 2012 Birthday Swap - Join ALL Month! on: June 12, 2012 10:02:35 AM
Hi Everyone!
My name is Rebecca and Im turning 19 on the 21st!  I live in England, and I'm reading Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic studies at Cambridge; essentially the languages, literature and history of the British Isles from the 4th century to the 12th. I particularly love the Welsh literature and myths, particularly the Arthurian cycle, which I am hoping to write a dissertation on for next year. Smiley
I'm a pretty eccentric (and possibly strange) person. I have obsessions with everything from Vampires to Toy Story and I love Celtic things. I have an enormous hat collection... I really, really love 'em. Wink
I have no allergies and although I am ok with adult themes, I come from a Christian home and neither my sisters or Mum would be too smitten. My favourite colour is Green and I am a closet Goth. Cheesy
So, on with the list!

  • Anything Nail art related! I love doing Nail art, but at present all I use is a Drawing pin. And nail varnish. Smiley
  • A beginner kit for using resin
  • Fabric or trimmings
  • Nice Charms/ beads
  • Scrabble Tiles
  • Toy Story fabric/ trimmings (quite obscure, I know Cheesy )
  • Fabric for embroidery, a craft I have just got into but have virtually no supplies for...
  • Printable plastic
  • Etching kit

  • Anything else you think I might like!

Thank you so much in advance!! Cheesy

9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Breathless waiting for Breaking Dawn Gallery on: February 28, 2012 06:35:59 AM
I'd just like to say, I am so, so sorry to chughes225 for not posting pictures of what I recieved in my angel sooner! I took the pictures at the time on my old phone and just kind of assumed that I'd uploaded them before I got rid of it, which I evidently didn't... I only noticed today that I hadn't, so please, please forgive me!

I got a fantastic package from chughes225 a few months ago, which I loved and I can safely say that all of it has had good use so far! Wink
First up is this awesome moustache keyring saying 'Ladies man' for Charlie, which has been attached to my keys ever since I received it!

Next, an awesome Emmett and Rosalie bookmark (my favourite characters!) which generally sits inside my copy of "The younger Edda" and makes me smile everytime I have to manage the dreaded work...

Third this great little file, which sits on my mantelpiece in my room at University. Very useful indeed!

Fourth, an apple cozy, being modelled by a Terry's Chocolate orange, because I have no apples. Sad

Fifth, an awesome white crocheted hat based on Rosalie's in the first movie, which I love!

and Finally (sort of!) This amazing Volturi bag which I absolutely love! I find that it's one of the bags I use most at Uni because it's the perfect size for a couple of textbooks and stationary!

Close up :

There was also a jar of Emmett's grizzly (gummy) bears, which I accidentally left at home, so do not have with me at Uni. They were yummy though!

Thank you so much chughes225 for organizing such a great swap (and for sending such a great package!)

Just to say; I received my angel package from our wonderful organiser 2 days ago (stupid post office wanted it, and wouldn't give it to me) and I absolutely love it all! I'll be posting pics ASAP; only just got my computer mended and it's still slightly dodgy so may not let me upload the pics. If not, I shall attempt to draw pictures of what I received; lets hope it works!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything chughes225!!  Smiley
