1  I messed up, sorta, any ideas on for dye fixes? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Aryante on: June 15, 2013 01:48:04 PM
So, I discovered the style of Pastel Goth and I really want to include some of that in my  currant wardrobe. I started with  vest and that's where I have messed up. For starters, I took a thrifted vest and didn't read the wash instructions. the actual dye turned out alright, but then I learned the vest is dry clean only. So when I attempted to dry clean it with an at home kit, the cleaner cloth clung to the vest and created a huge splotch. Now I'm just experimenting with it to see if I can fall in love with it again.

I tried using the RIT Dye fixative stuff to soften the edges of the splotch and that worked pretty well.

But the question becomes, how to I fix the center of the splotch? any ideas?

this is how it looks right now:

And this the close up of the splotch remains:

I'll be adding spikes and studs to the collar, just as an aside.

Please and thank you

2  "Let the Butterfly cry, let it cry for you" headphones in Completed Projects by Aryante on: March 21, 2013 09:41:50 AM
One of my favorite musical artists, Kerli, just released their EP. I got inspired to make a set of headphones after the song "Butterfly Cry".

And my little sister modeling for size reference:

I would love some feedback from everyone, likes and dislikes. Smiley

I just learned a valueable lesson: do not loan camera to a sibling that doesn't own her own SD card. She apparently deleted a lot of the pictures to make room for her Hetalia Christmas Event.

What I sent Rika:

A Pokemon themed apron, art by someone on DA

Japanese candies and a handbound book, art by me.

This is intended to be a kit to make your own book. I included two different iron ons so you could pick which one you wanted to use Smiley art by peeps on DA

Then the deleted images contained photos on the candy Sushi (I work at a sushi bar and thought it was too cute), there was a spiral bound book and a dragon diecut (I designed that and my dad cut it on his pazzles machine), there is a photo-ready scrapbook that strayed far from the theme (it's floral and has ribbons poking out from the edges). There are two papercrafts, one Espoen and the other is the man with the Mask from Sailor Moon (can't remember his name). And I know I'm forgetting something...

I'm glad you like it!!

I am so sorry everyone! I didn't mean to fall off the face of the internet! I see Rikaheart told everyone what happened, and thank you for doing so for me. IsikkahJai, thank you for the kind message, that meant a lot to me!

This is the wonderful box that I received from Rikaheart (Turns out my roommates had it for several days before turning it over to me)

Zen Garden and Lain print. Am I supposed to cut it up like the puzzle on the back and will you be offended if I choose to frame it instead?

Papercrafts and 3d card kits

Completed 3d Cards

Lain and Chii with Atashi puzzles

Lain Embroidery kit, Lain in bear pjs, one of my favorite looks in the entire series

And finally a beautifully embroidered Lain! The backside is bright pink, it's totally  cute.

Rika's box should arrive by friday hopefully. You mentioned in your letter in the box that you were missing your camera; if that is still the case, let me know when you receive your box and I'll post the pictures I took.

Anyway, that was the wonderful box I recieved, thank you for all the support and I hope I didn't ruin the swap for anyone by falling out of communication

6  Re: Monster under the bed....except I misplaced them :( Call for Advice in More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions by Aryante on: September 18, 2011 06:27:17 PM

This is the rough sketch, if that helps any...
There aren't any reflective surfaces, the ground is covered with paper flowers with thorny vines lurking underneath

7  Words are one of the few things to continue on forever (ink) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Aryante on: August 30, 2011 08:30:21 AM
This was an assignment from my senior year of High School, from portfolio developement. It's nothing but words. Words written over and over and over again until I felt them engraved into my being.

It's an ink drawing (maybe it's a writing?) i didn't measure it but it's somewhere around 12x16. The words are loneliness, cold, dismal, alone, companionless, etc...All the words reflect the emotion of loneliness.

Comments and Critiques appreciated <3

Here's the closeup Smiley it may still hard to see but that actually now has more to do with the amount of words on top of each other and how terrible my handwriting is.

8  Meet my jointed doll, for she is pretty, I think :) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Aryante on: August 17, 2011 05:56:28 PM
So I made a couple ami but I lost interest in reading patterns really quickly Sad  I also wanted a ball joint doll, however that tis a bit expensive for me. With a combination of these situations, I made stuff up while crocheting and this is what happpened:

She stands about 9inchs. Made for worsted weight and her dress is crocheted embroidery floss.
However, that's not her wig Sad That's her friend's wig, she'll be posted soon hopefully

To show the ball joint in her head

Eventually, I'll get some pipe cleaners to assist the joints in her limbs

Comment and Critique Wanted Cheesy
