1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / French lessons are fun with jewelery! on: January 11, 2009 11:01:15 PM
I bought some adorable little charms from Etsy that have sweet little French sayings on them and I have made a few pieces with them so time to share!

This one is J e T Aime "I love you"

This is J e TAime Plus Qu Hier Que Demain "I love you more than yesterday, less than tomorrow."

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Maritime Necklace on: January 08, 2009 10:41:17 AM

I actually designed this necklace for my wedding, which, is actually no longer happening but it is such a beautiful piece that I am really proud of. It is actually this piece which got me really into making more jewelery. The chain is three tiers and is brass. It contains vintage brass heart charms, an ivory rose cabochon, round and rose shaped pieces of amazonite and pieces of yellow jade.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Pear Bracelet! on: January 08, 2009 10:35:49 AM

Another fun piece to think up/ work on! The "pear" is a glass bead swirled with black stripes. I attached it along with a little gold leaf charm onto a gold platted chunky chain bracelet (which I actually salvaged from another piece of jewelery)!
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Little Mushroom Earrings on: January 08, 2009 10:24:28 AM

I was so excited when I suddenly got the idea to make these little cuties! I had gone out to the local bead shop and purchased two white vintage glass bell beads and when I got home I had no idea what to do with them so I started pulling out other beads that I had collected and found the ones that I used to make the stalk of the mushrooms. It was so fun when it all came together. All the beads are vintage and the earwires are just your basic silver platted ones.

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / My Pink Barbie Tree =) on: November 29, 2008 09:04:32 PM
I have been collecting Hallmark's Barbie ornament series since it first came out in I believe 1992 and every year since then I had said that when I had my own place I was going to have a regular Christmas tree and then I was going to get a pink Christmas tree to put all of my Barbie ornaments on it. Well, last year my mom gave me a pink tree for my Birthday, which is exactly one week away from Christmas. I got it in time to decorate it last year, but this year was a little more exciting because I got to plan it out a little more. Anyways, I wanted to share some fun/funky pictures that I took of my sassy little tree!

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Simply sparkley gold filigree earrings on: November 29, 2008 08:16:55 PM
Here are another pair of earrings that I have recently created and would love to share with you all! The gold beads and gold filigree beads were from a necklace that I had purchased ages ago and the little sparkley bit was taken from an antique charm bracelet that my mom purchased for me last year at one of her antique stores that she frequents around town. They are a simple pair of earrings but I'm a simple kind of girl and they were absolutely fun to make, which in the end, is all that really matters... enjoy!

7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My first ever attempt at embroidery Two doggies on: November 29, 2008 08:11:36 PM
I have been browsing the interwebs over the past two weeks drooling over all sorts of fantastic embroidery work out there and I figure, why should I not give it a go? And today I finally got a few supplies to get my feet in the water. I bought a set of iron on transfers featuring cute little animals and I did two dogs and a little flower (the dogs reminded me of my German shorthaired pointer and my miniature dachshund). Naturally it isn't the most amazing bit of embroidery in the world, but I'm proud of my first attempt and I look forward to working on it more to hopefully get nearly as amazing as most of my fellow Craftsters out there!

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Sweet little earrings! on: November 28, 2008 11:08:11 PM
Ah! My first project post, I am absolutely excited!

Now that recent events in my life have allowed me more time to start getting back into crafting and jewelery making, I figure it is time that I actually start showing people, aside from my family, my creations!

So here is one of my first projects that I have recently completed, a sweet and simple little pair of earrings which I absolutely treasure!

The earwires were taken from a pair of earrings that I purchased a few months ago and have never, ever worn and the little heart piece was taken from my mom's magic treasure box of old jewelery that she has found at antique and thrift shops. The rose cabochon are extras from a bunch that I ordered off of Etsy about a year ago (I purchased them to create some jewelery for my wedding, which is no longer happening so why let them go to waste!).

Anyways, any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
