1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / How old does a child have to be before you give her a weird plushie? on: April 09, 2009 04:35:57 AM
Assuming the toy is totally child safe and machine washable/dryable, how old does a child have to be before you give him a non-standard toy like a silly monster plushy?  I don't have any little kids around to test drive toys (or their parents to snatch the thing away), but I do make things for charity and want to know what you think the right age group is.  My girls always chose the fluffies, sweetest, pinkest things possible even when I bought them other things, which, of course, I ended up playing with.  Boys, I haven't a clue.  I'm not looking at scary, bleeding eyes type of stuff, just different.
