Whoever finds those will be very lucky! You don't live in Ottawa, do you? (Cuz I do and would totally watch for them around town!)

This project took much longer than I thought it would. I was originally going to make three different spells but changed my mind halfway through the first one.
I custom-mixed many of the shades of acrylic paint as I went but these are actually made from acini di pepe pasta lol!
On to the pictures!

Oh my goodness! I just saw that this project was featured! Yay!

I surprisingly never cut myself doing this. Poked myself on pointy bits a few times but not enough to draw blood.

Someone asked about my method. I actually just printed the logos and cut out bits of paper to ensure that the important parts would fit in the design, then traced the paper shapes onto the 'wrong' side of the can with a pencil. It left an imprint of where I should cut. I painted in the 'grout' as went so that none would get on the metal and it also hid the printout Tongue

Thanks for the encouraging feedback everyone!

Thanks guys!

I purposely spaced the pieces a bit apart to leave room for the silver paint 'grout'. I was pleased with the effect.

I might make some other ones at some point, but like I said, they were more time-consuming than I predicted.

My hubby once made a crack that I always make stuff for other people but not for him. This is mostly because the majority of my crafts are not things he would actually use.
So, after he ended up going out of town for work for two weeks, I decided to surprise him with a present. It turned into a set of three because I couldn't stop at one.

He liked them so they were worth the hours of work. Took much longer then I originally expected.

My inspiration came from this person's work
