1  Second Hat Ever! in Crochet: Completed Projects by soc4711 on: December 29, 2008 11:09:02 AM
This is the second hat I've made. (I just recently started crocheting, and I'm addicted!) I've been on a bit of a hat binge. I've made six in two months. I realize most of you could shove those out in a few days, but I'm still learning. Plus I don't read patterns so I have to figure it out as I go along. The truth is, I'll probably make hats for a while because I don't know how to crochet lines, only circles. Smiley

I don't know if you can tell, but it is single stitch with every three or four rows, one row of double stitch. Then I sewed on those three small circles and black faceted beads.

Thanks for looking! As I said, I'm new to this whole thing so I'd really appreciate any comments or suggestions. Cheesy

2  Raspberry Swirl Flower Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by soc4711 on: December 28, 2008 10:49:06 PM
Hi all! I'm new to this site, this is my first time posting a project!

I used to play around with crocheting when I was little, but wasn't very good. Recently I picked it up again because I REALLY needed a habit that kept my mind off of things and my hands busy.

I used a medium worsted 100% acrylic yarn for the hat. The flower is made from the homespun yarn, and then edged in the yarn I used for the hat.
