I bought 2 of the key chains. I had planned on Bringing Markers so we could decorate them together. Since that didnt happen I was Mugged by My Teenager.  Smiley
And Bacon makes every thing even doing dishes.

I recived from Strawberryh today.
Here we have: a bacon washcloth, lots of pretty fibers for needle felting Grin, a key necklace, a ring that actually fits Shocked, note cards, and a cute little doodle guy.

A close up of the pretty ring.

Thanks so much Strawberryh I love it all.

I think that Silentblair can't count and as a result I got the biggest most awesome package EVER!
It arrived Sat while I was away camping. on Monday morning my husband was hoovering while I was matching socks. and he said to me "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE! YOU HAVE TO OPEN THIS NOW! IT SAY"S IT IS BIGGER ON THE INSIDE!"
I had to laugh. as a result I let him help me open it.

This is either going to get me laughs or shot on the Archery range. But I am willing to take a chance because this hat is to amazing not to wear!

Now this one is cool two fold one because Ash rules and two because it is a ice bag cover.
Myself and my daughter need ice and heat packs often and you should never apply either straight to your skin. Ice bag covers are a great way to deal with this, and this one is cool with out even having any ice in it.

This is the Stupendous, amazing, awesome scarf it is from my favorite art piece, so far, on Dr Who. I love Van Gosh and I love Dr Who, so when they combined these two things I went nuts, and she did the coolest thing this a spool knit (I think) to get the fire effect. My husband went "oh wow honey, this is one of the coolest things ever, and it is so you." I must say between this and my white and blue dragon shall I will be the coolest dressed nerd on campus and that is not easy to do when you are 40. And it is just girly enough to keep my husband from steeling it too.

Now as you can see This is by far the most spoiled any one I know has been in a while. I feel like I got three larges
And I opened it on a good day for getting goodies, because my daughter has beed yelling at me all day she has Strep, a UTI, and a Flu and as a result is in more pain the her normal pain and her Dr did her paper work to get a handicap parking pass and a handicap state ID so she is not in a good mood plus add the fact that she is a teen to this and wow I wanted to runaway for my own safety. But if I do I will be warm Smiley

 Champleve': Acid Etched Enameling
No I am both happy and unhappy with this piece.
I had a nice thin line drawing but then I would out we were using fat paint markers, What I should have done was pulled out my knife and sharpened the marker point because then I would have been happier. But it is just different then I wanted. It is on a piece that is way to thin for a brute like me If I do this again I will work on thicker pieces. also with a thicker piece I can use a blow torch if i don't put to many layers on the front.

now because this involves a kiln I do not foresee myself doing more of this any time soon. however it was fun as heal and I might consider assembling the frame work a month before the next glass & Metal symposium and then taking the glass to fill it in. because then I can pre-glue my wire down because that was the hard part it with Issac the air was to moist of the glue to dry and I didn't have a solder station to use. The design is a strawberry with a Celtic triscal in it on the shell of a sea turtle and I did what in Illumination is called a Diapering technique (I don't know what the term would be called in Glass work.

5  Plique-a'-jour in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by Strawberryh on: September 04, 2012 08:13:22 AM
This is what I did in MO. While camping in Issac.
it is on copper I sawed out the willow then using powdered glass I filled it in. I fired it with a blow torch.
The thing I like the most about this project is that it is easy to do and I can do it with minimal shopping. I am buying a Jewelers saw as soon as I have the money, but a basic coping saw with really tiny blades will do and very small drill bits. water mixed with the powdered glass (fine partial mask was worn) and for the acid just water, vinegar with salt, Baking soada and water for the base and water for a clean, and sand paper. things I can get easy. and I already have the torch and I even can grind some of my lamp working glass.

Awesome stuff
I have a confection I thought I had sent a while ago because I packed everything up and put it in the car the first week of the swap but I had been so busy I hadn't been on. well when My first package arrived today I hopped on to post the pics I realized I hadn't sent. So I rushed out and sent them out today and so on. Sorry (hanging head low) So I just looked though the gallery and OMG there are so many mini works of art the strangest being a Peacock on a computer, but they are all so amazing.
I sent out Three badges to my two partner and MeganCrafts also sent me 3 I can't help it they are just so easy to make and there was a "no none Felt badge extras" rule so I just included an extra felt badge. and besides I think my partners deserve it for putting up with my absent mindedness.
My theme was crafts I do. so MeganCrafts made for me a Camera I love taking Photographs  An art Pallet with paint and Brush, and a cook book. I think the cookbook is the coolest but my Favorite is the Pallet. I just think it is too cute.
I will have to make a special cover for my Wicker back pack so I can show them off at SCA events.
can't wait for MeganCrafts and Luvebuggy99 to get the ones I sent. and to receive from Luvebuggy99

Get your wists finger ready because I received the most stunning package from jennden
Let us start with a tour of my new house...
It is sparkly and naturey and the right size for a gnome fairy or other woodland creature to move into. the only thing is I dont know if I have the heart to put it out side...

Now we all need some Flying spaghetti in our lives and Mine comes as the Flying Spaghetti Monster.... RAmen, sisters and brothers RAmen! as an art piece this is also stunning and amazing that it arrived with almost no damage. way to go on the packing!

this little bugger went right into the garden after the photo. it is a nice little addition to my gnomey world out there. still not sure I can let the pretty house be ravaged by nature. I will update ya'll woth a photo of the Gardeny goodness in the day light with the new pretties in it soon.

and speaking of Gnomes... ta-da!

After a little thought and a 70 lb puppy I have decided that the house is safer in the garden then in my living room the pup is teething on every thing and she seems to be getting too friendly with the pretty house...
So that is the wonderful world in my life. and since tomorrow is Friday it is a Pastafarian holiday and I shall wear Pirate regalia and eat past and then later drink Rum. ARRRR!

10  Re: Craft This Tote Round 2! - Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Strawberryh on: February 01, 2012 08:51:14 AM
Sorry I haven't been Ignoring ya'll I was in NJ for four days. I am back in IL after the 16 hour drive straight though. so Here are some answers. The Rainbow is a material that repeats the pattern I just cut enough for the rainbow plus turn under as a whole the Fabric is way too over powering, But just a small amount on Black I think works. I did a little stalking through your pintrest and It seemed that you love Bright stuff but not over whelming and only carefully in your decorating. This way you could have something Bright and Rainbowy but it can be put away when not in use. I kept singing "Rainbow in the Dark" while sewing it. I used washable felt made from recycled bottles for the cloud and just did two layers with slightly different sizes for dimension. I have collected Recipes for years these are my favorite kids ones,The extras mostly came from target except the Octopus I loved the Crystal bag and hoped you might too. It looked a little to much like tye dye or batiste but not really so I was hoping you might like it. (I remembered you disliked both of them) . I would have made the charm into a necklace for you but as you know my mom had a heart attack and I left very quickly. In fact It was because you used a box that you had received in a swap that made it possible for the package to be sent before now. My husbands packed it up and called me from the post office while I was driving to NJ and asked if He needed to do anything special with the package. He did put a DC# but I didn't get a chance to get online to give you the number
I got my package from Strawberryh today!  Lots of goodies!  My kids were so excited that most of the extras revolved around them.  Warning, pic heavy!

Here it is all together!

The tote by itself!  How stinkin cute!!  The clouds are kinda puffed up too so it has a 3d effect.

A pair of socks for both kids!  They love novelty socks!

A crystal vinyl tote bag.  Its so freaking awesome!  Where did you get this??

Tons of index cards with homemade activities recipes for the kids.  We love doing things like this!  This picture doesn't even show half of the recipes, but you get the idea.  Wink

And last but not least, an octopus pendant!  Sorry this pic isn't really great, but its super pretty!

Thank you so much for everything!  I love everything!
