161  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Lets See Pics of Tattoos You Designed! on: January 16, 2010 08:27:01 PM
Hey all!  Love this topic  Smiley

My very first tattoo ever, designed by me, and done a week or two after I turned 18:

The flash washed it out--the colors are definitely bolder in real life.
I don't love it, partially because it's kind of cliche, and partially because it's not the ideal design (guess I didn't think about it long enough before getting it), but it was my first, and it was my own design, so that's good enough for me  Smiley
Might wind up getting it updated one day or something...dunno....

Here's my most recent tatt, done April 2008, and still not completed [[the distortion is only due to the way I was standing]] :

A bigger version can be seen here:  http://renduh.deviantart.com/art/BunnyMan-121352955

It was designed by my friend Loren, who is an AMAZING artist:  http://hiiiloren.deviantart.com/
At the moment, she's actually apprenticing at a tattoo shop, so once she's finished apprenticing, she's going to be the one to finish up the tattoo!  I can't wait!!   Grin

I have plans for a few more, one of which is going to be photography-related, since I'm an aspiring photographer (here's my site:  http://www.wix.com/renduh/1 )
I know I want to have a camera IN the tattoo, but I haven't decided what I want exactly, yet.  Probably a cool photography quote to go along with it.  If anyone has any ideas they wanna throw at me, feel free--I'm open to suggestions  Wink
162  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Goldfish Ornaments on: December 19, 2009 06:13:50 AM

Yeah, I'm one of your watchers from Deviantart  c( :
LOVE the fishies!
Just as everyone else has been saying, they look UBER real--you did an amazing job on them!  And I think that'd be a very interesting thing to see hanging on your Christmas tree!  Cheesy
163  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Pet Costume Hats on: December 19, 2009 06:09:38 AM

The second one (bear? mouse..?) is my favorite, because your cat is just all like  :3 in it.  haha
ALSO, just an FYI, cats purr to calm themselves down--it releases endorphins that make them happy.  Which is why, oddly enough, even when cats are ROYALLY pissed off, sometimes they'll be purring without even realizing it.  Wink
164  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Kitkat Kitkat on: December 12, 2009 09:07:53 PM
Honestly, I think you should submit this to Kit Kat's PR people (if they have PR people for a candy bar....?  I guess they do...lol), because that would make a really good commercial  XD
165  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Chocolate Hazelnut Thins - a.k.a. Nutella Cookies on: December 12, 2009 05:04:12 PM
I KNEW I'd love these.
Just made them, and they're awesome!

Instead of doing the fork tine thing, I just sprinkled some powdered sugar on them after they were done.  Made them a little more winter-y  Smiley

I think this recipe is going to be one that I'm going to make for years to come, because it's simple, but it's PERFECT!  Cheesy
166  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Pink Lily Hair Flower on: April 08, 2009 04:59:04 PM
I LOVE these, they're a great idea, but I really think you should put all these different flowers in ONE post....you're spamming, m'dear <3
167  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Lots of t-shirt reconstructions! (actually, four) on: April 07, 2009 04:38:03 PM
Arch Enemy FTW!

168  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: really really ridiculously shiny bathing suit. on: April 07, 2009 04:31:58 PM
SHWING! Love it! The shiny fabric just screams SHWING!!!

I'm very glad I read the comments, because that's EXACTLY the sound effect I was going to suggest!
Therefore, it is truth.
And win.
FULL of win.
169  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Teeny tiny fudz--OM NOM NOM!! on: April 06, 2009 05:21:36 PM
So, I've had the urge for awhile now to make itty bitty foods out of clay....dunno why, since I haven't used clay to make anything in around 5 years.
These are the first that I've made--ever.
I've never tried to make clay food before....so don't be too harsh  >_O

Here ya go!

Chocolate cake slice with strawberry filling (a necklace):

Vanilla ice cream cone (also a necklace):

Hot dog bracelet (one plain, one with ketchup, and one with "everything"--ketchup, mustard, and relish):

I used Sculpey oven bake clay for all of them.
So, what d'you think?

170  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Super Smash Bro.s Brawl Sandbag plushie! on: March 18, 2009 03:25:15 PM
I popped on Craftster while my husband plays Smash Bros. and this is the first thing I see on the main page...

I love any Nintendo inspired crafts!

Me too!
My boyfriend wants me to make him another one now...Meta Knight.
It's gonna be a bit harder, and I'm DAMNED for sure not going to hand-stitch him (lol), but I think I can do it  c( :

My brother loves that game, so even before I read the title I thought 'sandbag!' the detail and the stiching (all hand stiched I presume?) is great, and it's the perfect size to be a desk accessory or something, not too big or small.

Yup, hand stitched, except for the loops, which I did on my machine, because they don't actually look hand stitched in the cartoon.
And he IS my boyfriend's little desk buddy now!!  Cheesy
