11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: UK Swap Gallery on: June 28, 2010 12:39:34 PM
Remember it??? No, I have to watch it since DH bought the DVD for the kids. The first time they saw it I had to make some Fingermice and scampis for weeks after that...before you ask DH also bought : Trumpton (Camberwick green and Chigley), Mr Ben, Bagpuss and Wacky races Roll Eyes

Mr Ben!!! i used to dress up with my brother according to where Mr Ben would go. I also used to love Pigeon Street and Puddle Lane....oh no, I feel an old-school tv show afternoon coming on!!  Cheesy

wow i love the kingfisher - they've been my favourite bird since Fingermouse (anyone remember that??)

it's funny that everyone said how difficult it'd been to make things relevant to your hometown, cos all of these packages are amazing!  Smiley

15  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: Meet Our First Featured Organizer! on: June 21, 2010 12:44:00 PM
great interview! i have to say, having been in a twilight swap with her organising, it felt really special to be part of it as her enthusiasm and excitement really was contagious! she's also so welcoming, it's like discussing the subject with best friends, and i really loved that  Smiley

right guys.....welcome to Glasgow!!  Cheesy

Boycemachine sent me the most amazing package - i couldn't have asked for a better partner. everything she sent i've fallen in love with and already can't wait to use (and eat). on with the pics....which aren't great - i'm a crap photographer. so Boyce if you have better pics, please please post too  Smiley

the whole shebang:

irn bru box and traffic cone bookmark (my fave irn bru quote: "gimme irn-bru or i'll shuffle my nuts in front of your mother"

beautifully embroidered passport holder (which i've been thinking about making but didn't tell her - it's like fate!  Cheesy ) in my fave colours, and brilliant needlebook with scottish flag in blue and pink (inside):

close-up (albeit blurry  Embarrassed ) of quote notecards (haha they're wicked)

card, beautiful butterfly, and pics of cones on statues (these will be going in my book at uni for millinery inspiration)

me getting to the good stuff - tablet (is that the name?) the most sweet and moreish candy, come just at the right time at the start of my diet

thanks so much!! i just hope mine's only half as good! x

i'm doing something new for this swap and......bitten off more than i can chew is an understatement!! do you ever see  something and think "wow, i'm gonna try that" and only after a few hours crafting realise it's way more difficult than you realised....that's the fun of new crafts i spose!  Cheesy
